In the US at least Christopher is a very common name, and it was especially when all those various Chrises would have been born. I think it was in the top 5 boys' name for new babies for like twenty years through the 70s and 80s. There were four or five Christophers in my year all through school.

But I've only ever known one or two Christians in my entire life, and one of them is five. :)
