I finally got member access over at
minions_de_mina, and read pretty much everything in one day. Consequences: I totally dreamt about Mina/PrinceC last night. FOR REAL. *headdesk*
Anyway, I know I keep on saying how DC superheroes don't match up to Marvel's (and they don't, at least to my eyes, because they're too loved and liked and needed while most of Marvel's superheroes are ostracized and hated and/or disliked. But this is not really the point...), but that doesn't keep me from enjoying some good fanfic once in a while. That, and
Smallville has convinced me that Clark/Lex is totally hot. *looks shifty*
Reconciliable Differences by
astolat. Oh WOW, it made me stay up until 3 AM 0_o. I really don't know much about Superman canon, but, apparently, Superboy was cloned from both Clark and Lex's DNA, which makes him their really messed up son. Kinda. Sorta. This story's fantastic, mixing both the comic and smallville canon with such ease, and so much angst at the beginning (which is always my thing, if you know me), and then there are parts that are just
hillarious. A must read, really.
and
Ulterior Motives by
astolat too. No pseudo son in this one, which makes the interactions oh so wonderful and angry. I really love the kind of universe this author has settled for both of this stories: future fic with Clark already on costume but being awkward about it, and Lex having this big fat empire. Oh, and did I mention Batman meddling everywhere and generally being a drama queen? Because he does. It's funny as hell.
Go, read, my minions. BWAHAHA.
(Who was the genious that came up with the idea of translating superheros' names, anyway? Because I still can't think of Batman without thinking 'Bruno Díaz', or Wolvering as 'Guepardo', or Lois Lane as 'Luisa'. It's really odd...)
