Am I the only one that finds the endless photosets of Titanic (the movie) being posted today on tumblr a bit, ah, tasteless?

Any other day, fine, but remembering a real tragedy by posting gifs of Rose and Jack making out in a car instead of actually mentioning anything about said tragedy?

YES! And even the non-romantic scenes from the movie! It's bit ghoulish to commemorate a tragedy by watching a recreation in gif form.

It's not like there was a lack of contemporary photographs of the ship.
