Also, I'd never realized the sheer amount of alcohol in this house. We have everything, it seems, from fancy Brandy to Tequila to a bazillion red wine bottles and Khalua. Huh.

How old are you? I mean, my parents bought me a bottle of Whiskey after I told them I'd like to try it when I was 18 or 20. (I needed about a year to go through it.)

And they don't object to me having a bottle of Whiskey next to my PC. (Then again, my consumption hasn't gone up, so it's still a bottle a year, max. And I don't like beer, which in Germany can have interesting consequences.)

18, but you're a guy. Like it or not, things change for girls, which is stupid. It's more the fact that they now think I do it regularly - my dad loves red wine, in that odd, classy way of degustations, or however that's in English, and he usually orders wine for me when we go out together. *shrug*

I can't have more than one beer, it makes my stomach ache, and anyway, I prefer sweeter drinks.
