Indelible by destina. The story behind six of Dean's most treasure posessions. This one made me flail madly because it's so lovely and heartbreaking and well told. Starting when Dean was 9 until present time. *

Vocabulary by innie_darling. One of the best Sam character studies I've ever read. 16-year-old Sam has an assignement for school, to define himself in three words: 'I am ___' as;ldfjasldjf. such a wonderful story. *

White Pony by thepurpleswitch, gen with bits of Sam/Jess. Sam gets a chance of having everything he ever wanted. He's not sure he wants it anymore, though. Wonderful Sam'n'Dean interaction, and I rather like this Jess. *

Untitled by stele3. Dean dies for a third time, and Sam brings him back. Dean is less than happy about it. One of those stories that is so good you really can't stop reading. Wonderful. Post IMToD.

Sam/Dean

Long Road Home by sanyin, SPN/Alias x-over PG-13. This fic made me go alsdjflsdjf. The retelling of both of the pilots, so Sam's at Stanford, working for SD-6, and he runs into an undercover Dean (who's working for the CIA) in his first major mission. Um. WOW. If this was turned into a novel-lenght fic? I'd be all over it, because it makes both of the 'verses fit together seamlessly. Also, the Sam/Dean in here is sizzling hot. A must read. *

The Miner's Lamp, Ruddy With the Light and I See You Better In the Light by hansbekhart, R. The second time that Sam Winchester falls in love, it’s sudden, abrupt. There are no roses and Sam’s been wearing the same t-shirt for a solid week. He won’t realize what has happened for months.
This trilogy is everything Sam/Dean should be. Hesitant, slow, and with all of the right 'wrong' undertones. (confusing much?) Beatiful; one of my favorite wincest fics ever.

Ex Luna Scientia by coffee_in_bed, pg-13. Quite a basic premise: AU in which the Winchesters are werewolves; but this story took that idea to such a new level. Thing is, they've always been werewolves, ruled by a strict pack ethic, but they still end up as hunters. Lovely story. *

5 Things That Fandom Did to Dean Winchester by fatale, Parody. So. Damn. Hilarious. Fandom cliches at their best, baby. *

Somewhere I have Never Traveled by follow_midnight, R. Three stages of their relationship: Before Stanford, just after Wendigo and post In My Time of Dying. Beautifully written.

Lifting the Veil (Halloween in Gotham), SPN/DC Comics x-over, Sam/Tim Drake. I loved everything in this - Gotham's descriptions, Sam's cynical teenage self, Dean's big brotherly ways, how similar and how different at the same time Sam and Tim are. Just wonderful. Dean likes big cities because it’s easier to get laid and commit petty crimes. Sam finds that reflexively annoying for no real reason other than that Dean is a jackass. And: Sam’s always been friends with girls, so he knows all about boy-kissing videos and fanfiction. Hee. GO READ. NOW. *

It did! I have read it three times now, straight through from beginning to end, absorbing every little detail. Three times.

And. Also. OMFG, I JUST FOUND AN ALIAS/SPN CROSSOVER AND IT IS SO, SO PERFECT. I am jumping up & down and waving it in front of you 'cause you're, like, the one person I know who will actually get it as much as I do. *flails*

HOW MUCH DID YOU LIKE DEAN AS CIA, HUH? Man, I so want to see more of this verse! Can you imagine? John (if, you know, he doesn't go AWOL in this one) will be all like 'OMG YOU STUPID BOYS I LEFT THE CIA FOR A REASON!!' and Dean will totally be Sam's handler and give him pity fucks (only, not) after Jess' death and he'll force him to use the most RIDICULOUS alias ever to communicate with him. IT'D BE GLORIOUS. And then they'd have to do exorcisms in their free time. a;lsjdfalsdjflsd.

Hee. "Exorcisms in their free time". I was a Vaughn fangirl but DEAN AS A HANDLER? Guh. Just. Yeah. More in this 'verse would be like the Winchester family dynamic meeting the Bristow family dynamic. Imagine. NOTHING could beat that. NOTHING.

Oooh, yeah, I adored Vaughn, but can you imagine him? saying crude jokes into Sam's earphone-thingy (and ocassionaly muttering his x-rated fantasies involving Sam...) and Sam not being able to do anything about it! XD Of course, by J.J. Abrams rule, Mary would turn out not only to be alive after all, but being working for the demon *g*
