That meme about my five favorite fics? Or something?
Had the strangest conversation ever about sex with my cousins today. Strange because, well, their ages are: two 13 year old girls, 15, 17 and a 16 year old boy, and... well. They're LITTLE! o_O Pretty funny, though. XD
So, my five favorite fics, in no particular order:
1. Keep Walking (Nothing To See Here), SPN, gen.
As you all know, I have a mad passion for post-apocalyptic stuff, and finally getting this idea written felt like heaven. Besides, it was just fun to imagine rules and realities for this world, and I loved the quietness I think I managed to portray. One of the best things I've ever written, that's for sure.
2. Five Ways Dean Winchester Doesn't Die, SPN, gen.
My first SPN fic, and yet I kinda dig it because I managed to creep me out a bit in one of the segments, and that's something I hardly achieve. Also, I very much dig the whole 'five things ____' format, so.
3. The Difference Is on Those Little Details, Doctor Who, Rose/Doctor.
I like this one because for me, it meant doing peace with the 2nd season finale, and having Rose do what I would have liked her to do after Doomsday - letting go, on her own terms.
4. Hold Your Last Breath, HP, gen.
I was still deep in my 'yay pretty descriptions' phase in this one, but that's actually what I like most about this fic - I worked really hard to create a truly horrifying atmosphere, and I do think I achieved it. (Then again, I've always been kind of a ruthless bastard deep down, so killing pretty much everyone in the HP universe came pretty easy to me *g*)
5. Snap It In Half, HP, Remus/Sirius.
I honestly can't say what is it that makes me like this one so much - maybe it's that I was finally getting the hand of my actual, more spare, writing style, or maybe it's that I went and said 'to hell with stereotypes' and had the pups usual roles in fic reversed, or maybe the fact that I have A Thing for violent sex and, well, you know. *looks shifty*
And because I can, my five favorite original stories.
1. Oleaje.
Well duh, seeing that it got me published. XD But really, I'm madly in love with Olivia, the main character, and I still can't get over the fact that I wrote it in just one night, with my cell phone as my only source of light o_O. Spanish only, sorry.
2. Let Me Take A Taste Right Off Your Lips.
The only thing that I don't like about this story? That I wrote it in English. Don't get me wrong, I love the language, but I love the way this story turned out, and I know it won't be the same translated, and I'd really like to have it as a part of my writing portfolio. *sigh* Anyway, loved the characters, loved the story, loved writing teh sexay.
3. Ciclo del Agua, and it's translation: Water Cycle.
Short as hell, but I've always liked the seduction air it gives off.
4. Asfíxia.
I love mermaids, and playing with the idea of them and twisting it so ruthlessly was tremendous fun. *g* Plus, I've a weak spot for the main character - he really didn't deserve what he got. Spanish only, sorry.
5. Dejen Que Las Dunas Lo Entierren.
And again with the apocalyptic setting. I've had this universe in my head for years, and while writting the novel that's 'supposed' to go along with it would be nice, writing this actually satisfied my thirst for it. Also, loved the imagery I wrote in this one.
6. Cadáver Motociclista
(not uploaded, sorry) Based in a true story (sans-zombies, of course), I kinda LOVED writing a story about a zombie that ends up playing dead(er) while he waits for the doctors at the morgue to stop prodding at him. XD It's over a year and a half old, so it's kinda... rough, but I still like it loads.
There's another one, but it's kinda-but-not fanfic for one of Julio Cortázar's short stories (it was an assignment for writing class), so I'm not sure if it counts. *scratches head*
Oh man, was Dean shooting that ghost on the face PURE SEX or what? o_O *fans self* I think I feel a bit of enthusiasm for this ep. starting to boil inside me, yes.
Also, I missed Remus' birthday. I should be ashamed of myself. *slaps hand*
