Writing and complaining. Oh, and GoF.
I'm having a bit of trouble with my fic for
darkones, because it's probably one of the angstier and darkest thinks I've written in months now, and God, but it's so damn hard to write. I like it so far though, and it's gonna be short 'cause I wouldn't be able to take endless pages of this depressing mood. Ah, so much troubles, and I'm only around 700 words. *snort*
The pirate fic... I'm still plotless. I kinda know what's gonna happen at the beginning, but from then, I've no idea. And I gotta finish the other fic first, too. And now
blanketforts is so very close!
>In other news, I re-watched GoF today, and I really, really don't like Michael Gambon's (is that really his name? I'm horrible with names.) Dumbledore. He made him way too human, and the point of book!Dumbledore is that he's so Epic, ominous figure, who knows it all, does it all; and then there's his charm (besides from the freak-ish eye tinkling, off course), the mystery that surrounds him. No one knows why he does what he does, no one would be able to get into his head; and in this movie!Dumbledore we can, only to show this slightly violent, startling headmaster. I miss Richard Harris.
Other than that... Cedric's way too hot to be real. Hot, hot, hot; I was drooling the entire movie. And, um, Rupert Grint's the only one of the trio that feels somewhat alike my own versions of them. And I hate the way Hollywood thinks Hermione is far to pretty for Ron and wants to stick her with Harry. Read the books damnit!!
All right, enough with the character and story butchering. Now, the photography, setting, special effects, it was all amazing. That's what made me smile during the entire thing, the way everything feels so utterly magical and dreamy, and I'm so glad they kept Cuaron's version of Hogwarts, with it's high grounds and pretty, pretty bridges (and pretty, pretty boys, but let's not get into that). I so can't wait for the fifth movie!
And now I should add how angry I am that my brother is so damn tight fisted, and that he didn't buy PoA in the states when we saw it at 9.99 (what's with americans and nines, anyway? We close our numbers, and the tax, IVA, is already included in it. Nothing wrong with round numbers as 10 and 20.) in a target. Of course, yesterday I saw it in here at 200 pesos. He knew I had no money left, and he still wouldn't buy it. Ugh, it infuriates me.
Also, I've gotten obsessed with Zoé lately, and I just can't wait for their new album to come out. Their lyrics are so shiny and weird (ever heard of laser tears? they've got them.) and the music is just wow. I've been uploading them all over the place, I think...
