Hahaha, we do do the drinking thing, just not on a Saturday night! But Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday ... come about ten o'clock, it's basically like every other city centre. Cambridge people work hard, but they play bloody hard too. We have our fair share of geeks, but most people are pretty normal. Oh, and six o'clock, we're all in hall eating dinner together like in harry potter. Seriously.

And yeah, going to Cambridge is funny. Like, I go up a spiral staircase to get to my room. For srs. And it's so nice walking through King's to get to lectures. Having that kind of beauty around all the time is vv calming, actually. I thought I'd mind living in such a small town after growing up in London, but I actually quite like it. I'm sorry you got stuck though, there's nothing worse than having psyched yourself up to leave and then not be able to.
