I soooo get you. I hate, hate, HATE, smoking (hell, I usually scold my parents for smoking in front of me...); and yet, with fiction (be it original or fic), practically all of my characters smoke. Because it's sexy, damnit! (and you can't smell it) And completely drunk pups are just completely fun. :) What I do find odd, though, it's how many drug use! fic there is *shrug* that, and the whole 'curry takeaway' that seems to be present in every single pup fic, dunno why (then again, I've never eaten that, so I don't really know what the frenzy is about). Fandom is so weird... And yet we love it.
