Um. Well, I suppose it can be, but see, they're just so different. You can tell relatives 'te amo', but mostly, you stay at the 'te quiero', which means more like a family affection, and use 'amar' only for special occasions. And special people. (btw, is that were all the UST is happening? XD)

Hehe, all I know in French is Bonjour, Au Revoir and I used to be able to count to ten. Not even that now, though XDD
