nekare at 10:27pm on 27/03/2007Tall Tales is on TV. The slow dancing alien NEVER stops being funny XD BUT THEY CHANGED DARWINISM TO ECOSISTEM IN THE SUBTITLES, WTF?? *shakes head*
Am updating from my old laptop, the new one suddenly decided that hey, maybe it didn't like recieving wireless internet that much after all. *stabs* And my dad says he won't be able to fix it until he comes back from Chicago, so... *criez*
Went out with some friends to see one of the movies from the International Cinema Festival in town, Que Tan Lejos (How Far). It was pretty nice, I'd never seen a movie from Ecuador and the accent threw me off a bit - it's odd, but the accent sounds just like Mexicans sound when they're trying to exagerate something, so it made the movie seem a bit over-acted. But it was a lovely road-moviek with some thinky-thoughts behind it, and after the movie the director and one of the actresses offered a question and answers session.
And then when we went out one of the old El Santo movies (like, really old, black and white old) was being shown in the open theatre that was set up right by my college's administrative building. We watched for a bit, and OMG IT WAS SO SILLY XDD But there's no one in Mexico that doesn't fangirl el Santo and his campyness, so, of course, every seat was taken. :) One of the things that make me love my country so damn much. The USA have Batman and Robin as their superheroes. We? We have el Santo and Blue Demon *g*
