When half-naked greeks and alien slut bois collide!
Bar last night was great. I had vodka for the first time, and I danced a lot (is there anything funnier than dancing Puto by Molotov? *g*). Nice times. :)
300 was, just as I expected, pure visual orgasm. The cinematography was omg, alkjfasdflkja;sldj worthy, and so damn epic, completely in tune with the story, which was just so damn wonderful and both heart-breaking and revolting at the same time. Also, I loved, loved, loved the queen. She was such a human, strong character, and Leonidas was all kinds of awesome. It's just-- one of those stories that refuses to let your mind go, you know? I just can't stop thinking about it. I think I'll go see it again on tuesday or wednesday, but this time in IMAX, because maaaaan, can you imagine? Pecs larger than your body! *flails* Bad thing is, it costs about double from the regular ticket... Nah, it's definitely worth it.
Now, onto important matters: TEH WHO IS BACK!! *flails some more*
Doctor Who 3x01 - Smith and Jones: Okay, my squee level? Is high. Yessss, I loved it! It was soooo great to see the Doctor again after so long! And Martha was pretty win - She's gutsy but very down to earth. The whole 'Everyone Has Family Issues' thing is pretty much Rusty's thing, huh? I like it, though, so I'm not complaining. (but I still miss Jackie. ;___;)
The cloud and rain above the hospital were kinda awesome, the same as the panic after they found themselves on the (bloody) moon. (And that was a bit of a wonderful part, actually, lights fading and people going nuts and the feeling of loneliness about the hospital). MotW was kind of awesome too, because dude old grandmas are scary! Especially the kind with straws. Rhino police! Kissing to save the world! the Doctor's skeleton! Am I a bad person if I was more worried about the sonic screwdriver than the actual people dying without oxygen? *shifty eyes* But yay, there's a new one!
I was laughing my ass off while the Doctor was talking to alien!old lady. I was all 'OMG!' when he went and sacrificed himself. I was all 'AWWW' when Martha started doing CPR. And then the ending! Sort of reminiscent of Rose, but different at the same time, and I just loved that detail about going back in time to prove himself to her! And the flirting-that's-not-flirting! Loved it.
I don't really know when it was that I changed from being all 'OMG DOCTOR/ROSE OTP!!1!' to 'OMG DOCTOR/EVERY SINGLE COMPANION!!1! I honestly do think he's screwed pretty much all of his companions. (except the icky ones like Adric and, well, duh, Susan). And I think I'll be happy shipping Doctor/Martha - their kiss was all steamy, too *g*
Oh and also? David Tennant's hair was hot. So was he, actually. *leers*
I'm still watching Drake & Josh. I am beyond lame. *headdesk* Has anyone seen recent pictures of Josh, though? Oh man, boy got hot. o_O Much hotter than Drake, actually.
