So, Design Week has started and it's been cool so far - I've already seen two conferences, one about creativity (it was actually kind of a glorified pep talk, and it was OMG SO CROWDED because the guy imparting it is the main designer for Chivas, one of the local soccer teams, but the guy was funny so whatev.) and the other about newspaper design. That one I thought it'd be about editorial design, so I felt kinda cheated, but it was pretty interesting anyway.

I bought this BEAUTY of an illustration and photography book! The Great Escape, German, if I'm not mistaken (there's like, no text at all, so I could be wrong). It is gorgeous, no kidding. BUT IT WAS 700 PESOS. (70 dlls) My wallet is hurting *sobs*

The costume contest runway is this Friday and we've hardly been working on our dress. Sure, we spent most of yesterday's afternooon painting the umbrella and whatnot, but there's still SO MUCH LEFT to do and not one of us is doing anything, ugh.

Also, I'M LOSING MY MIND. I sooooo want to use this typography for a poster assignment, but for the life of me I can't remember its name. It's similar to Courier New (so it does have Serif, and the spurs (omg what a horrible name, it's called 'Cartela' in Spanish) are really rounded) only it's really, really bold and heavy and I've seen it used in artsy stuff, like mix covers and the likes. Have you seen this typography? kindly do help a girl in anguish. *bites nails*

Er, does it show that we saw a great deal of typography theory and history last semester? *shifty eyes* I dig the stuff.

THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THE DOWNLOAD FOR HEROES BREAKS. WHEN IT'S ALMOST DONE.

And I'd already downloaded it this morning, but when I came back from school the comment had been erased at The Comm That Must Not Be Named and the password to unzip it was GONE.

AAAAARRRRRRRGHHHHH.
