Well, my wireless is still GONE. I took the, uh, thingy to be repaired today and they said OH, BUT EVERYTHING'S FINE, PROMISE! and now I want to headdesk real bad. Urgh.

I've been trolling around wikipedia for a while, reading trivia about 90s Nick shows, and oh, but now I'm so nostalgic. ;___; Especially for Sabrina the Teenage Witch, I'd so like to see an episode, especially the early ones. But oh man, Alex Mack! And Clarissa Explains it All! MY CHILDHOOD, IT WAS COOL.

Anyway, remember that I said my old high school went on "strike" because they wouldn't let the kids out at luchtime? HERE'S PROOF.

HAHAHA I LOL'D SO MUCH. The kids are all "protesting" outside the deputy headmaster's office, singing a song we've used as school song for years. There's also a video of the 1000 odd people yelling 'Tetos' (a very rude way of nerd) to everyone that didn't join the "strike" haha. My brother and the rest of the people on strike got a notification today that if they ever do anything like that at all they'll be expelled on the spot, HAHA. Ah, Colegio Cervantes Costa Rica, don't you ever change. ♥

As you all probably know by now, I'm reading Love In the Times of Cholera by Gabriel García Márquez right now, and I'm truly in awe at the man. The novel's set somewhere around the 1890, so the women are all resigned to be wives or widows and nothing else, and even with that, and the fact that most of the women in the book (and trust me, there's a lot of them) are somewhat easy girls, lovers of the protagonist, they're all strong-willed and tough and free, and GGM writes them such fervor and passion and even admiration - it truly is a thing to behold.

On breaks from it, though, I started reading The Golden Compass, and while it's kinda simple and an easy read, I'm liking it quite a lot. I like Lyra, she's such a real child - rude and selfish and easily dazzled but nice anyway.

Also, I've started downloading Firefly because I'm tired of not being in the loop of the hordes of people saying it's the bestest thing ever since sliced bread. *shrug*

GUYS. I'm in the mood for translating something, and I'll even let you pick (aren't I awesome?) So, which one do you want to read: (and I'm not forcing anyone to read it, so feel free to just say which one and then ignore me)

Hedonismo - In which a guy gets obsessed with the muse of poetry and eroticism and starts following her around the world.
Dejen Que Las Dunas Lo Entierren - Post apocalyptic story in which a girl living in a Beduin-esque civilization learns about how the world ended.
Oleaje - The story that got me published, in which a girl finds a mermaid and gets more than she bargained for.
Zombie Motociclista - An old, oooold story of mine I haven't even posted in Spanish, in which a zombie has to pretend to be dead while the doctors perform his autopsy.
