nekare: (Life on Mars)
It's been a lovely day. I stayed in bed until about 2pm, just rolling over and watching tv and reading Emma. It was awesome.

Then I went shopping with my mom and I finally got to use my bershka gift certificate which I got for my birthday and yayz, clothes! I was all surprised at myself because I was getting stuff in dark colors (black skinny jeans, black elegant top, royal blue top and a striped blue and black shirt), and then I went and became myself again when I got the loudest, most outrageous, colorful hoodie I could've gotten. EEEH.

Take a look! You might want to cover your eyes, lol. )

Mmm, so I just watched Tristan + Isolde. I liked it, but in all honesty, it was mainly because of Sophia Myles. James Franco did nothing else but stand around looking pretty with tearful eyes. The plot itself -the British tribes coming together against a common enemy, Ireland - takes a second place to the romance, and it works in a way, if not entirely.

What this movie has in its favor is its wonderful pacing - it makes it dinamic, entertaining, and it manages to make the budding romance seem plausible and real when told in a few minutes. Its other strenghts are the fantastic cinematography, which shows open, lavish spaces, and has generally gorgeous landscapes; and the music, which was rather lovely - really emotive. So yeah, it was nice, if not perfect by any chance.

As always, more coherent and longer review in [livejournal.com profile] depelicula (in Spanish).
