As my
apocalyptothon story is about to turn into the second largest thing I've ever written, I re-read that largest piece of writing of mine the other day, just for kicks. It's that Remus/Sirius series I wrote about two and a half years ago for
blanketforts, dunno if anyone remembers it. On one side, I'm surprised at how plotty it is, and how well it makes sense in regards of canon, considering I was making it up as I went along. On the other side, it's so full of ZOMG ~METAPHORES~ and EMO EMO EMO that it also made me cringe a bit. Still, it made me realize I have gotten better as a writer, so that's good. 'THANK GOODNESS' kind of good, lol.
A confession: Apart from the opening ceremony, which blew my mind, I haven't seen any other Olympics footage. Like, nothing at all. I wanted to watch the gymnastics competiton, seeing that it's the only sport I can stand, but I totally missed them. Sigh. Oh well.
Another confession: I still haven't read Breaking Down. I'm a reading a wonderful, gorgeous book right now, The Map of Love by Ahdaf Soueif, and I don't want to ruin it by reading crap on the side, lol.
