I had the best pozole I'd eaten in YEARS today. Oh God. So good. So orgasmic. I don't know if it was all the beer I had (the lady that takes care of my grandma made it, but her five-year-old hyperactive kid is just impossible to stand if you don't have a few drinks on you), but it was seriously so amazing. MMMM.
Pozole is this sort of stew made with corn (only, not in its natural yellow stage - the recipes online call it hominy, no idea if that's the right way to call it) and pork meat. I'm not the greatest pozole fan, but this one was, zomg, to quote Barney: LEGENDARY. XD
Today I also went to have a look around in a new bookshop that just opened last week. So far, it's a bit of a mess (they still haven't alphabetized) and dusty. But! I bought two books: Tokio Blues: Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami and Diablo GuardiƔn by Xavier Velasco. I'd never heard of the first one, but dude! Beatles inspired! And the second one has been reccomended to me a lot of times by fellow literature-obsessed friends. We'll see. :)
It seems weird, but when I finally get my precious internet back and get to read fic again, I'm hardly interested in SPN fic. Sort of, anyway. Dunno, hiatus does this to me. In any case, I've been reading mostly comicverse fic, to be concrete Tony/Bruce and Tony/Steve, lol. The latter is sort of a Civil War fix-it, with the Cap getting resurrected by Doom of all people, haha, and it's plotty and awesome and filled with Tony!Extremis!Angst. AWESOME. XD
