I don't quite get that whole 'Register to vote!' deal in the US. (I mean, I get what it's for and I get why it's important, and actually all of you folks in the US should register and go vote and get those creepy Republicans OUT of the White House)

In here, our most important ID is our voting credential, the IFE (Instituto Federal Electoral), and the minute you get it out when you're 18 (and EVERYONE gets it, because you need to have it to be able to drink legally, aside from going to bars/clubs/etc) you're officially registered to vote, for life, and on election day you just show up with said ID and vote and go merrily on your way. It just seems much more, well, PRACTICAL - let's face it, not everyone knows how to work the internet (I should know, I had to teach my grandpa, and it was an overall painful experience), and people are due to forget or something.

It's weird, but I really support Obama. Weird because I hate politics, and my philosophy is that all and every politician is dirty and crooked and a bastard. (I'm in quite the quandary for the next election - the PRI I've hated all my life, the PAN I supported all my life until they actually got the power and turned into a bunch of preachy motherfuckers that grovel at the feet of the Catholic church and the PRD are a bunch of assholes. SIGH.) And yet I don't want to get my hopes up because LAST election I thought to myself 'NAH, KERRY'S GOING TO WIN. WHOEVER WOULD BE STUPID ENOUGH TO VOTE FOR BUSH AGAIN?' AND LOOK JUST WHAT HAPPENED.

UM.
