I ended up not going to York after all - I was getting ready this morning, feeling like crap, and then I started wondering why I was so hell bent on torturing myself, and just called my friend and told her I wasn't going. In a way, I'm pretty sad I missed it, it looks so awesome, but on the other hand I really wouldn't have enjoyed it, feeling the way I do, and I'd probably gotten even sicker. Ah, well. That was at about 7, and then I went back to bed and didn't wake up until 1, lol. It's a friend's birthday tomorrow, though, so I hope I feel well enough to go out and celebrate.
I've been reading Battle Royale today, as my brain is too filled with snot to digest the actual book I'm reading (Midnight's Children by Salman Rushdie - really good, by the way) and it's been, well, as gory as you'd imagine it to be. Huh. And yet I can't seem to stop reading. o_O
My dad saw Slumdog Millionaire yesterday night as well, weirdly enough (he saw it in an actual movie theatre like a good boy, though), and this morning when I called home we geeked out on how awesome we thought it was, hee.
