I honestly don't get how so many people in the US were claiming that universal health care was the worst that could ever happen to them. I mean, it's pretty much a human right, isn't it? And I'm the first to admit the Mexican public health system (the well worn and rusty at the edges seguro) isn't the best thing in the world, but it sure beats having nothing. My grandma just had her leg amputated through them, in an operation that would have been 20000 dlls* through private system, and she's doing well now, so, you know. Health care is cool.
So, I hear the reform is not nearly perfect, and that half the country is near to rioting (which, again, why? So not get it.) but it's a good step, I'd say. So, good for you, US people in my flist.
*yes, I know that would still have been cheap if it had been in the US, but it's not in here, with our wages.
