I'm reading Terry Pratchett's Mort at the moment, and it features this line:
In the certain knowledge that he would outlive life until the last being in the universe passed to its reward, when it would the be his job, figuratively speaking, to put the chairs on the tables and turn all of the lights off.
And I'm ALMOST sure that line was in Sandman too, also speaking about Death. So, who was quoting who? The book says it was published in 87 but Sandman also started being published around that time, SO.
Also, I would love it Pratchett's Death and Gaiman's Death could meet. They would probably have tea and tell each other stories. I like Endless!Death a bit more, because she is adorable and she has pet goldfish, but Bony!Death likes kittens, so.
