The whole 'Obama wasn't born in Hawaii!!1!' debate thingy confuses the hell out of me. So what, you can't be president at all if you weren't born in the country? Like, his mother's still from the US, so he would've had citizenship anyway, right? What about kids that are born while their parents are in holiday in, I don't know, Borneo or whatever, they're forever banned from politics? *scratches head*

But still, as repulsive as the republican candidates have been, at least they've been sort of upfront about said repulsiveness? Presidential elections here are in exactly a month, and I hate every single one of the four candidates, with an extra scoop of rabid hatred for Enrique Peña Nieto, puppet of the PRI, the party that ruled us and ruined the country for 70 years. And he still has the nerve of building his campaign around how 'Mexico has to change'. Yeah, because your party allowed it a lot, you asshole.

It's been months of stupid campaigns in which all candidates pretend to be god's gift to humanity and such upstanding moral citizens, when Peña Nieto was involved in an idigenous people massacre as governor, Josefina Vasquez Mota missed like half of her work days as senator, Andrés Manuel López Obrador is a blundering idiot that threw a massive hissy fit the last elections when he lost, and Quadri is a puppet for Elba Esther Gordillo, the education secretary that has bounds of influence in government affairs.

It says a lot when the undisputed winner of the presidential debate is the playmate and stripper assigning speaking turns. Yeah.

Saying that, Peña Nieto was run out of a university in Mexico City a few weeks ago, and when the majority of the country's media called it 'a successful talk, despite a small group of rowdy people hired the other parties', showing their true colors, there's been countless marches mostly by students demanding that the truth is said. Now that's my Mexico. ♥
