More than a year ago I watched the first few episodes of Parks and Recreation, but while I thought it was ok, I wasn't really digging it. Anyway, so I kept hearing how it got much better on season 2, and how it started sort of weird, so I decided to just start watching S2 instead of waiting for it to pick up.

Fast forward to me watching 13 episodes on saturday! Almost done with S2 by now. I LOVE IT SO MUCH. Leslie Knope is like, a thing of wonder. ♥LESLIE♥ I strive to be more like her. It's refreshing to see someone so overwhelmingly righteous and corageous and determined on tv.

Another thing I've really liked is how they've developed Ron, who I absolutely hated in those few S1 episodes I watched. There was a very obvious 'office villain' route they could've taken, and instead they chose to show just how much respect and warmth he has for Leslie. He might not give a damn about his job, but he knows she does, and for her, he might even sit through long and boring meetings. I love it.

I am also currently anxiously waiting for April and Andy to get together and for Ben to appear, which I know all about BECAUSE TUMBLR but whatever. It's been great.

So, I just linked my dad to ONTD... meep. :s

He'll probably leave after the first encounter with that girl with the rimming icon though. Or that recent post about the guy that gets off on balloons. And then there will be judging.
