Ah, movie adaptations.

Well, I totally didn't know the Love in the Times of Cholera movie was in English. Huh. Anyway, I just saw the trailer and it looks so sirupy sweet! I'm worried. The book is fairly sweet, especially considering how dark Gabo's works can get but they're making it to be OMG THEIRS WAS THE GREATEST LOVE EVER, LOL LOL which is totally untrue. Fermina Daza was never in love with her husband, but she did love him fiercely, and he the same, and Florentino Ariza spent all of his life after an illusion and Fermina didn't give him the time of the day for fucking fifty years, SO. What exactly are they playing at?

I loved the book because it was such an unconventional love triangle, and I'm afraid they'll mangle it horribly. ;____;

Other than that: NO CLASSES TOMORROW YAYZ YAYZ. I've wanted to put up a death shrine at home for YEARS and yet I never seem to do it. Damn it. I also wanted to write Calaveras and now it's too late, and I HAVEN'T HAD A SINGLE SUGAR SKULL IN AGES. I WANTS SOME. I will, though, try and bake death bread. BECAUSE IT'S SOOO GOOD.

It comes naturally, I guess. XDD If you ever do get the chance, do come heme around these dates, it gets pretty cool. :)

I can't wait for the movie. I hope they don't screw it up. It's actually my favorite Marquez book.

Mine is One Hundred Years of Solitude, and boy, do I wish it never gets a movie adaptation. o_O

But yeah. Hoping for the better. *crosses fingers*
