The current wank has gone from being mostly WTF and offensive to having me want to hug half of fandom in sympathy and slap and/or maim another part. The incident that started everything is not that horrible in comparison to what a lot of people - lovely, amazing people, have gone through in my flist alone, not to speak of fandom and the real world in general. The fact that there are people making apologies for the perpetrators or at least excuses makes me sick.

The victim is never, never to blame, regarless of situation/context or really, anything at all. Anyone that thinks otherwise is not thinking right.
