Drabble openings.
Am back from being with all the cousins. We went and conspired so we could stay over at my Memo and Fer's house (since it was the later's birthday) as if we were ten year olds (Which kinda applies to Alex and Fer, now that I think about it...) and our parents all refused (flashbacks to my childhood!). It seems like I've spent all of Easter week with them, huh. I so heart them. :) Other than that, had a boring morning. I actually did a lot of homework *retches*
Meme!
The first 10 people to comment on this post get to request a drabble (real drabble: 100 words exactly) from you. In return, they have to post this in their journal and write a drabble for you. Post all fandoms you're willing to write for. (this is optional; you don't HAVE to do it in return, but it would be pretty spiffy if you did).
So go on, pick a pairing and a prompt. (and don't maul me if they're not 100 words long. All those numbers like 180 and 235 also deserve some love.) Fandoms: HP (duh), Doctor Who, Alias, Narnia, Nip/Tuck, Fight Club (humour me and pick it!), Howl's Moving Castle, Good Omens, Spirited Away.
I know I still have some other drabbles I promised to a lot of people, but those I'm reserving for inspiration someday later. Sorry!

Yayz!! I just re-watched the movie yesterday, and I'm just starting the sixth book so I'm just in the mood for this. ^-^ (well, er, tomorrow. I'm kinda half-asleep right now XD)

Reaching Out
Narnia – Lucy-centric – Rain – 257 words
Lucy stares at the ocean painted orange with the first rays of light, imagines the warmth engulfing her and the salt on her skin; and yet she can’t help but long irrationally of ice cold waves and gray rain splattering the windows. She shakes her head, leans against the wall of her room in Cair Paravel, and buries the thought in her mind.
---
“Do you ever feel like there’s something beyond Narnia?” Lucy asks Mr. Tumnus some days later while on a picnic, as Edmund and Peter talk about politics while they practice swordsmanship and Susan is dancing with the dryads.
“You mean beyond Calormen or the Lone Islands? Not really. Narnia is everything I could ever want.”
“Everything one could ever want… Yes, I guess that’s true.” She says in a murmur, her mind far away.
Mr. Tumnus tickles her nose with his scarf, and as she laughs she forgets all about it.
---
(She often dreams about a sweet-looking woman singing her lullabies. When she wakes, she feels as if she ought to remember her, that she had been once important, but she doesn’t, and she fiddles with her fingers in anguish.)
---
When she’s twenty-four, the sharp pine needles of the woods turn into soft coat fur, and she stumbles out of a wardrobe into a ten-year-old body she had long forgotten she had once possessed.
So there was something else, she says to herself in those first moments back in England, and then she wants nothing else but to go back home.
