The Fanfic Writers Meme!
Keyboard or biro?
Both. I carry my little writing notebook pretty much everywhere, and I usually start lots and lots of stories in there (although there's more originals in there, actually), and then I most likely finish it on the computer.
Beta or no beta?
Depends. Usually, I like to post as soon as I'm done, so I'll just do a quick proof-reading and check some words on the dictionary that I'm not sure about (online dictionaries are your friends. Really, I ♥ them.), but if the fic's for an exchange or a challenge, I'll usually have it betaed.
Plot?
Um. I have a bit of a thing for plots, I love them so, but I usually end up doing snapshots and one-shots, or just pure character study. The only time I've really used plot in fanfic was in my Fireworks Series and that kinda came out of nowhere (seriously, it was supposed to be a drabble...).
Title?
Titles matter a lot to me, dunno why, but I would never put 'untitled', it'd be just not me. I used to go for one-word titles, but lately, I've started to do over the top, long titles that feel more like dialogue than anything. My two favorites of the last month have been 'Ese Tic Nervioso Que Me Vuelve Loco Por Ti' (that nervous tic that makes me crazy about you) and 'The Dust Sticking To Your Skin'.
Smushy or smutty?
Neither. I like angsty, and epic and whatnot, and fluff is, mostly, not my cup of tea. Still, I like having a balance between all of this, and while I can't write smut for life, I do like strong Rs, and sexiness.
Summary?
I'm not very good at summaries, so either I explain the fic vaguely, or just take a sentence of the fic that kinda describes it.
Funniest fic?
Mmm, tough one, I usually don't write funny, but I really liked the way It Comes With The Job ended up like, and well, Stockholm Syndrome, the Remus/Sirius, pirate AU fic, will always have a special place in my heart. Because Captain Lupin is made of awesome, yes. (AND DID I MENTION I STARTED WRITING A SEQUEL WITH
moonix? NO? WELL IT'S HOT.)
Most popular fic?
It would definitely have to be Hide And Seek, The Not-reading!Remus AU, which I've never gotten because a)it's not the best I've written and b)it's not that sad, dunno why it made so many people cry. *shrugs*
The second one would probably be The Dust Sticking To Your Skin, which is okay since I'm madly in love with that one.
Most fun to write?
Again, the pirate AU *points up*, but I also had one heck of a time writing both of my Fight Club fic and writing the Remus/Ten fic, Looking For Something, because duh, it's the Doctor wanting to and do nasty things to Hogwarts' library.
Best and Worst?
Best. Um. I've always had one heck of a thing for Snap it in Half and Minor Arcana, both R/S (because that's about the time my style changed for the better), and in Doctor Who fandom The Difference is in Those Little Details but best best would probably be Hold Your Last Breath, gen, which made me shiver a bit.
Worse? Then I'll have to link to ff.net, and to my older account, Cyan Moon, where even the profile makes me shudder. Si No Hubiera (Tsubasa) is the worst in Spanish (it even has fangirl Japanese, my God!), and When It Is Over: Engagement in English (Inuyasha). God, I sucked. It was two years ago, though.
Coulda been Contenders?
Haunted By Your Empy Eyes. For some strange reason, I loved the first line (as simple as it is) with the passion of a thousand suns, and I wanted to do something, you know? with that story, and the potential is there, but it just didn't took of.
Strengths
Imagery, which I love to do, action descriptions, which sometimes become difficult when writing in English and punch-lines, I just love doing those. I think I'm faily good at characterisation, but that's up to the readers, I guess.
Weaknesses?
Dialogue. I've improved lots, but it sometimes still feels a bit stiff to my liking.
Dirty Little Secrets?
I feed of prompts like a mad, starving thing. Not bunnies per se, but phrases, colors (no surprise there), words. Not poetry, because I don't like it so much (heresy, I know); but mostly, images - Just seeing a bubble gum wrap thrown in the floor can make me start plotting, me being the visual whore I am. Getting a two-pager is one of the greatest feelings ever, if we're being honest.
And well, since I'm already doing this, another meme: Ask me anything you want about my fic, how did it end, why did the character do that, why is there so little sex, your choice.
Went to see Lady in the Water today. I liked it a lot, even with all the bad reviews I've been hearing, but I'm a sucker for fairy tales so that's not a suprise. It could have been better, yes, but I really liked the characters, they were all unique in their own ways.
It's back to school tomorrow, what a drag! I have class at 7, so I have to wake up at 5:30, and oh, how does my heart weeps at this ;-;

i might attempt to do this writer's meme thing but... blah. i can't pick out my best! worst, yes. but best and strengths? noooo.
and! for your other meme: in Listen to the Finger Against Your Lips [and ASLKFHASLHFASLHF!! how did i miss that piece of DELICIOUS HOTNESS OMG?!?!], why exactly did Lily show up at Sirius' place? Did she even think about it or did she just go?
(no subject)
(btw, considering it was written for you, where can I send you the draft of the sequel? It's totally hot and totally icomprehensible since we started it midway, but don't let that sway you *g*)
Yeeeah, that's a favorite of mine. :) Okey-dokey: In my head, it's been a few months since they left Hogwarts, and they were all busy being pseudo-adults and all when the war started. So Lily's parents were a few of the first muggle casualties of the all-on war. She was basically in shock - her break up with James had been pretty nasty, and she just felt so utterly alone, but wanting to be with James, so she did the same thing Sirius did - look for the best next thing. So Sirius actually is torn between them both, but Lily isn't - she wants James, but is too afraid of wanting him too much. (HAVE I EVER MENTIONED HOW MUCH OF A JAMES/LILY WHORE I AM? BECAUSE I AM.)

omgdraftofthesequel!!! that is to say, you can send it to prongfoot[at]gmail[dot]com. :D OMG that would be so awesome because i still live that fic to this day. and i'd never be swayed by something as little as that. ;P *dances*
oooooh! see, that makes it even more ALFHSLFHASLHFAKD!, ya know? i absolutely love how they are both looking for substitutes for James in one another. the little twist that Sirius' affections run deeper for Lily makes it all the more delicious. oh! and i don't think i said how fucking much i LOVED the way you ended it GAH! [JAMES/LILY POPPED MY HET CHERRY! IT'S TRUE. I WAS ALL SLASH A LONG TIME AGO AND THEN BOOM! J/L LOVE. WE CAN BE WHORES TOGETHER.]

Is this like, the only country in the world in which school usually starts at either 7 or 8? Because I'm always in awe at how people in the movies can wake up with sun outside and actually go and take breakfast on their pyjamas. That's fairy tales to me.
(no subject)
Not really. Here (some European country) it depends, my middle school started at 7:35h, but my high school only began at 8:15h, every school is different, because they want to prevent even worse rush hour traffic jams.

Darling. Honey. You've GOT to help me. I am suffocating to death on the dry beach of the Great Grand Writing Low-Tide that's eating away at my brain again this summer. (What is it about summer that makes me so unable to write anyway? D:) PLEASE, GIVE ME A PROMPT. PROMPTS. ANYTHING YOU HAVE FOR ME. D: D: D: I'm dying and if I'm dead we can't ever finish the pirate story and we can't have that now can we??
(no subject)
Ugh, I'm the same, I always write less during summer, it must be all that damned sun, or something. *shrug* WE DEFINITELY CAN'T HAVE YOU DYING. SO. PICTURES.
Hot guys in tutus. I know, I know. (http://community.livejournal.com/fashionesque/81785.html#cutid1) These are So damn beautiful (http://community.livejournal.com/fashionesque/80862.html#cutid1) and autumn-y. I want to write a story with a bride like that. (http://community.livejournal.com/fashionesque/79560.html#cutid1) Man, I wish I could be a photographer for those kind of magazines. Soooorry, but I happen to be obsessed about photographs of people...
And omg, I love burlesque so, so damn much. *stares* (http://community.livejournal.com/fashionesque/72986.html#cutid1)
