So, as a New Years resolution, I decided that I will be losing at least 3 kilos, because I'm utterly SICK of my clothes being all tight. But I hate diets with a passion, so I'll be taking daily walks (trust me, that's a big thing for such a sedentary girl as me), yay.

Anyway, the walk was rather productive considering that I kinda got myself untangled and I've already started the original story I was talking about yesterday. Another purpose, although not yearly, of course, it's to at least write 500 words every day. Hell, I'd be happy with only 250, the way my muse has been behaving lately. *sigh*

High point of today, though? Watching SPN's Pilot with my mom XDD She kept on gasping all the time, and she says she liked it, and we could see the next ep. tomorrow *g* I sooooo want to turn my mom into a junkie.

Now, who wants some recs? I still haven't read a large part of the [livejournal.com profile] yuletide stories, especially considering that I move through recs, but there you go, my favorites so far.

Into Seas Without a Shore, Dead Like Me. I love how such an utterly hilarious situation can end up being so painfully sad. Lovely, although a bit too angsty for this fandom.

Victory, Heroes. Spoilerific as hell for Fallout. This was haunting and painful and so, so very well done. It feels... plausible. And oh-so-terrible.

Clarity, Heroes. post Fallout, Claire has to think about her father. Great story, with an awesome Claire, and I love the idea of her meeting with Matt and Audrey.

If You'd Been Listening, Neverwere. My only complaint about this story is that this Door doesn't quite ring true to me, but other than that, this is a wonderful, fast-paced, descrption of London Below, with lots of action and politics and details. Great.

Not the First Date, The Time Traveler's Wife. tTTW fic makes me flaily all the time, and this is perfect, and it feels like canon all during it. Looovely.

The Taste of Honey, The Sandman. alsdkfalsdkjf the ending broke me. WONDERFUL, awesome banter between Death and Dream.

Perennial, or Three Post-Its George Never Got, Dead Like Me. Wonderfully IC, it could be an actual episode, even with the aching ending.

Oooh, I love that Time-Traveler's Wife story. ;) That brings the total number of TTW fics I've found up to... two. *grumble*

Good luck with your New Year's resolution. Dieting = bad, but walks are good, though time-consuming; I find that they really help clear my mind and prepare it for something creative, i.e. writing.

Haha, one would think it'd have a fandom, or something XD (maybe one of us - or both! - should write TTW fic...)

Diets make me cranky and an absolute bitch to anyone around (my family is witness), so I reaaaally don't want to start one. Bad thing is, I hate excercise as well XD But you're right, I started plotting while walking, and it was quite nice.

Well, I'm planning a re-read of TTW when I have the chance -- & when I finish this huge stack of books I've got here -- so maybe I will be inspired? xD

Thanks for the recs. Especially the Dead like me ones.
*sigh*
Still haven't seen the second season, and I've got no chance of it coming to Germany.

I haven't seen the complete series either, if that's any consolation...

Hey, where you been? I was a step away from thinking you were in some beach in Ibiza, drinking mimosas with a hot chick by your side, enjoying your new-found freedom XD

No, not quite. But a) Neverwinter Nights is quite addicting and b) I've got my next exam date - which means learning. And in some rl complications and goodies (A good pal of mine came to visit) and it all adds up to lack of fl'ing.

I'm sorry.

I like your idea of what I was doing better, however.
