I watched The Edukators (Die Fetten Jahre sind vorbei) today at the movies*. It was a lot better than I expected, and let me tell you, I had high expectations. I loved the build-up to the story's climax, and the way the movie made me care for the characters, all of them. I loved how it can be quite an eye-opener without being tedious, how yes, there were anti-captialism speeches, but they don't overpower the rest of the plot, or the fact that at its very core, the movie's about human nature and friendship and love and life. Great acting (Daniel Brühl!!! My God, how much can I love the man?), great music, good dialogue. I kinda spent the last half of the movie thinking 'THREESOME!!!' to myself. *shifty eyes* So, um, yeah, anyway, I loved the ending. Loved that it was unpredictable. Then I came home and watched my own copy of the movie (bits and bits, anyway), and there was an extra part that the didn't show at the cinema! Which is a shame because it was really great, and it made everything fall together. I just. I loved it. that's it. It left me with that great feeling in the belly, you know? When you're completely okay with the world. Also, did I mention that I adore Daniel Brühl? Because I do. So much. And this kinda-but-not-but-maybe love triangle hit all of my buttons.

*I've actually had it in my hard drive for a couple of months now, but there's an international cinema showing this week, and as soon as I saw that this was was going to be shown, I kinda said 'hell yeah'

Anyway, today I got cards from [livejournal.com profile] skies_of_honey and [livejournal.com profile] sarie_gamgee!! They're both soooo pretty and I feel all warm inside. Thanks so much, guys. :)) (Y Sarie, lástima que so se pudo lo de 'Salvador', porque la verdad si abrí tu carta toda emocionada como niña chiquita, jaja XD)

Oh, I want to see that movie so badly. The closest movie store is a walk from my dorm though, and I haven't had time to go. I'm glad it lives up to the expectations though!

Yeah, it's kinda ridiculous, actually - I mean, bills can get here all bright and early, but actually nice letter can't? tsk, tsk.

Anyway, thanks so much!

Hehe, he's like that, isn't he, that he sort of makes you wanna put him in a threesome? *gg* I have to admit I wasn't too excited about that film when I saw it in the cinema, but that might have partly been the guy's fault who sat next to me and chewed his nails the whole fucking time and I had to listen to that and URGH. >.< You can torture auditive people with things like that, man. Now that I think about it, I can't even remember much else than teh stupid guy next to me. -_-

He totally is. I bet I would flip if I ever saw him o_O And then I's start rambling at him about how much I adore him and get him to talk in Spanish so I could swoon at his accent XD

Aww, that's such a shame, because it really is a wonderful movie. You and your (people's) stupid gorgeous cinema are making me want to learn German like whoa. *grumbles*

Yay!
