Update on the 'Let's Get Ale A Decent Schedule' front: SUCCESS. I probably should feel rotten because I kinda pretended I had a part job on the afternoons to get my teachers to change my schedule, but really, it's not like they (or the school, for that matter) made it easy for me so THERE. I have to get some 'proof' of my 'job' though, so I asked a favor to an uncle of mine to, uh, forge said 'proof'. Um. Anyway, that knot of anxiousness in my stomach probably won't go away until the 'deal' gets closed on Monday afternoon, but I still feel as if a weight had been taken off my shoulders. *big sigh*
Anyway, I'm tired, I got out of school at about 12:30 and then had to drive back at 4, so it all amounts to almost three hours driving and about four else trying to fight for my oh-so-desired Design II slot. Pft. Anyway, I did promise coherence, didn't I? There is none in the next review. I apologize. (Also, I don't know why, but I keep on typing 'destruction' instead of 'distraction'. Is it a sign? o_O)
Heroes 1x14 - Distractions: EEEEEH, LOVE. Mmm, okay, where do I start? Sylar was deliciously evil. Twisted and freaky and I kinda digged real hard to see him seating in HRG's kitchen, drinking cold tea and talking non-stop about Claire with that Texan accent of his XD And Claire's mom! After HRG and the Haitian burst in all Mission Impossible like (which, you know, was kinda awesome). How exactly did HRG get out of Sylar's cell, though?
I liked Claire's real mom lots. (Meredith? Is that her name? Can't remember right now) And that little power showdown? Great. :) I was kinda worried that she was going to be, well, Gina (y'know, from Nip/Tuck?), from what we'd seen last week, but it was the complete opposite. That was nice. I like to be surprised. Hiro was cute (when is he not?), but his storyline this ep. was kinda boring, if I gotta be honest. Oh well.
So let's get to the good stuff: CLAUDE! His 'people suck' mentality and cynicism and weeee, INVISIBILITY makes him such a damn awesome character. "It's no wonder you live as an adolescent," Woah, so true. Peter's... quite a romantic, bless his soul. That's probably why I like him so much, though. And thenNine Claude goes AND THROWS PETER OFF A BUILDING. OMG. So. Damn. Cool. That entire scene, actually - Peter falling, using Claire's power, yelling at Claude and then going on and on about how sweet and wonderful that kid in Texas was - it was all really well done. (small>Isn't it a bit odd, though, that the most Peter/Claire ep. ever turned out sounding quite incesty in the end?)
And then the ending! HAHAHA. Really, pretty much everyone knew that Nathan's Claire's father, right? It fills me with glee because yaaay, it'll make things messy and complicated and I'm always up for that stuff. Also, Claire/Peter is officially Petricellicest now. Which is just hilarious in so many levels, especially because I've pretty much scoffed about the Claire/Peter shippers for the longest time (THEY DESERVE WHAT THEY GOT, DAMNIT, 'PAIRE' IS THE LAMEST SHIP NAME IN HISTORY), partly because they were so utterly boring and vanilla about it - and it turns out their pairing is one of the most risque ones. BWAHAHA. I know, I know, I'm a horrible person, but really, one goes over to
paire_love, and what else can one do but laugh at the whole 'OMG I'M GOING TO SUE THAT BASTARD TIM KRING FOR BREAKING ME EMOTIONALLY'. XD In short: YAY! I can't wait for the next episode. :)
