If you say 'you're it' do you understand it's tag related even if it's just the two words? In Spanish, we say 'Tu la traes' (plus an accent I'm too lazy to type right now), and that's pretty self-explanatory. So. Help?

Also, what is the name of the detective in Night Shifter? I don't know the right spelling. o_O

Yes, this is all for the Evil!Sammy fic. Good times, folks.

Yeah, if you say "you're it" it's pretty clear you mean tag. :)

The FBI agent? Victor Henriksen, I think.

Not a native speaker, but that would be yes. Can't think of that sentence in any other context.

Well you're almost a native, so I'll take your word for it XD

Well 11 more years and I'd have lived here for as long as I've lived in my home country X-D

Mmm, it would be generally understood, I imagine--it's what I first thought of when I saw just that phrase before I read the question--but if want to be really explicit, or "cute," you could say "Tag, you're it." That's what kids usually say when playing the game, in kind of a sing-songy voice.

Just throwing out that option. :)

Haha, I think cute is that last thing that sentence would be in the fic XD

Thanks, hon. :)

Ah, yeah... well, it could be used ironically? I dunno, hah.

I can't WAIT to read this fic btw, have I told you that??

Haha, I'm such a tease, aren't I? XD

And seeing that you're already here, what's the right way to use that expression 'death warmed over' OR SOMETHING, dunno exactly how it goes. I've always liked the singy-song quality of it...

You mean, like, what does it mean?

You would say it like, "You look like death warmed over," if you were speaking to someone who looks like, well, crap. Sick, beat up, someone in a pathetic state. Like they're a degree away from death, right?

I've never really used that phrase; it's not terribly common. But I've heard it before, yeah.

Oh, so I was only a preposition away from using it right! XD I like the cadence of it, if I'm making any sense *3*
