I'm up to volume 7 of Fables right now, and a;lsdjflaksdjf how can it be so good? For those of you that don't know what it is: All of the fairy tales characters have fled their homelounds and bound up in the human world, and now they try and get by, laying low so the 'mundies' (regular humans) won't discover them. Snow White runs the show, the Big Bad Wolf is the town's sheriff, Prince Charming is an egotistical bastard that cheats and lies and and extorts women for their money (and so far has been married to Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella-- and has ripped them all), and Goldilocks is a sociopath rebel. Now tell me that doesn't sound awesome. *g* Oh, anbd also? The art is pretty good. And the covers by James Jean are so fucking beatiful it hurts.

I love Bigby. He's my favorite character of the comic, and I've missed him for the last two volumes ;___; His and Snow's seventh child made me had the creeps real bad, and I got a bit watery in the eyes, I must admit. Quite a great plot twist, I'd say. Prince Charming is becoming another of my favorites, though, now that he, you know, has developed half a brain XD Boy Blue is all kinds of sweet/intrepid/mad/psycopath awesome. Snow is like, my hero, or something XD And her cubs are all cute and I want to pet them real hard. *cough* And haha I KNEW Gepetto was the adversary the moment the first wooden soldiers mentioned him. The genii storyline was oh so pretty and well done, but damn it, I want more Bigby. And more of his (and Prince Charming's, I must admit) secret spies and complots. *nod*

Er, could anyone tell me from which fairy tale Boy Blue comes from? I don't quite remember, or maybe it was just translated in a very different way into Spanish... (completely possible -- Prince Charming was translated into literally, Prince Blue *shrug*)

In other news, I'm sooo excited about the Big/Little week coming up! I already have one of the gifts (mostly) ready, yay. :) Now I have to think of brand new ways of surprising my Little for the other six days XD

Okay, so its a comic? I'm normally not into comics, but the premise sounds awesome! Do you know where I could get my hands on one? I think Boy Blue (as in Little Boy Blue) was more of a nursery rhyme, but I can't remember how it goes.

Yep, a comic. Mmm, online? I don't really know where, but It's really worthy of actually spending money on it - as I said, just the covers are so beautiful it hurts. I'll see if I can find somewhere to download it, though, seeing that my local comicstore is kinda behind on the volumes and I don't wanna wait for them to be out...

Oh, really? I'll try and look it up, then. Thanks. :)

Little Boy Blue's a nursery rhyme:

Little Boy Blue, come blow your horn.
The sheep's in the meadow, the cow's in the corn.
Where is the boy that looks after the sheep?
"He's under the haycock, fast asleep."
Will you wake him? "No, not I;
For if I do, he'll be sure to cry."

Blue's just awesome, he's my favorite character after Bigby and Snow. :D

Aww, how cute! *pinches Boy Blue's cheeks*

By the way, do you know of somewhere I could download the latest issues without having to rely on torrents? My local comic store doesn't have volume 8 and 9 yet... ;___;

Starting from which issue do you still need? I collect them in issue format, not tpbk form, so I'm not too sure which storylines 8 and 9 are, but I think I should have all of the issues up to date on my computer since I updated my download of it recently. (I like having paper and .cbr files of my favorite comics. ^_^;; Speaking of, have you read Young Avengers? I will totally upload that for you too if you haven't already, since you also like Runaways.) I think the only Fables comic I don't have on my hd is 1001 Nights, which I can't find.

Oh, wow, you're like, my comic dealer! XD I have up to issue 47. Oh, that'd be awesome! I was looking into YA, and was deciding if I'd buy it, but then I kinda spent all of my money on Fables so there went that idea *g* Uh, I found one of the 1001 Nights stories in James Jean's (http://www.jamesjean.com/) website (meaning it's pretty sweet looking), the one about Flycatcher, but it's the non-lettered version.

By the way, when does the new part of Runaways start? I don't know whether to be elated or worried about Joss Whedon writing it...

Lol! I just love pimping out things I enjoy, that's all. ;) Anyway, here are the links:

Fables: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=I8K1XQQU
Young Avengers: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=18WUKTQV

I have the 1001 Nights graphic novel, it's just the .cbr file that I can't find. The James Jean Flycatcher story is so horribly sad, and is one of my favorite stories in the gn.

By the way, when does the new part of Runaways start?

The next issue, #25, is the start of Joss Whedon's run. I'm pretty much on the same boat you're in. I really, really hope it's good.

*flails* You're too amazing! Thanks so, so much. :)) I've only read up to issue 50 so far because I've been terribly busy, but it was oh so cute and amazing. ♥ Bigby.

Woah, so he'll be writing Runaways and Buffy at the same time? o_O I just hope he doesn't let either go unattendeed...
