I just discovered that the story I'm remixing was my author's biggest 'dissappointment' regarding the stories he/she wrote last year.

I. I-- fuck. *bangs head against wall*

I'm not sure that's actually a disaster. It doesn't have to be, certainly. I mean, you're making the story your own, and the chances she'll really like what you've done with it seem as good as with any story - maybe even better than they would be with a story she's really attached to.

*kicks her own remix*

Ah, hopefully... You're right, though, I guess I can do no wrong with a story she didn't like, instead of her favorite one that would make her go after me with pitchforks, or something XD

Man, remix kicks everyone's asses, doesn't it? *kicks her own just for good measure*

Oh, I'm not laughing. I'm really not. Really...

You're just not having any luck with this remix thing are ya? Lady, just take the story and make it better. I know you can do it. If the OA was disappointed ANYWAY, then whatever you do is bound to be an improvement.

What I was going to say regarding the dreams you mentioned in your other post: YOU have a strange brain.

It's nice to have nice dreams about the sun and water-parks, but having dreams about post-apocalyptic birds is strange. You sure it wasn't a vision?

You should sell your brain to science! You'd get a fortune for it, I bet.

*snort* Yeah, because I so believe you. *goes on glaring*

*sigh* Yeah, hopefully she'll see it that way. I did take a lot of leeway with the story, so it's pretty different than the original, athough it's still reads like a companion more than a stand alond. *headdesk* I guess I'll have to see how it all works out. *shrug*

Haha, no, it wasn't a bird, it was Batman's Robin (probably saying 'holy apocalypse, Batman!), which is even funnier XD (I do have to say, though, I'm picturing a robin wearing thighs right now, and the image is somewhat... disturbing. *cough*)

Oh man, I'd get RICH. Too bad I wouldn't be able to enjoy it, though, that with my brain being floating around in a jar, that is. *g*

What she said.

It'll be sort of "I guess that story was not a total waste of time because I got this lovely remix out of it."

And like you, I'm thinking of writing more of a companion story instead of a remix remix, because yeah...I sorta kinda hate the main character in canon O_o So it'll focus on another character in relation to the main character in the original story.

It's not so much of a companion than a, uh, auxiliar story or something like it? Basically, I just changed POVs and gave insight in something the original story had left just hanging in the air. *shrug*

I was going to say that that was cheating, but then I remembered that last year I changed to a Harry POV because I can't stand the sight of Draco for long amounts of time (*waits for the massive defriending*), so. XD

Nooooooo Dracooooooooo

Ahem.

The writer only have Draco fics, is that it? ^^;;

I'll echo the writing pattern and style...and the plot, sorta :-/ Hopefully nobody complains. To my face, that is. *crosses fingers*

Honestly... if someone remixed a story I wasn't happy with... I'd LOVE it... you should stick with it... *hugs*

Hehe, hopefully she'll think the same. :)

Besides, maybe it simply didn't work out for the original author, and maybe you're the one who will fix that error.

And everybody will live happily ever after.
