First of all, have you seen [livejournal.com profile] mon_starling's new illustration? It seriously took my breath away, and I would've loved it from an artist's point of view even if I didn't fangirl Carl Barat in the way I do.

On Wednesday, there was an exposition in school from upper grade students that have to develop a product (including graphics, bagging, publicity and a stand) and then sell it. This means that we get to buy a lot of cheap, pretty stuff that is completely original and that you can't find anywhere else. Granted, the quality's not so great, but the cool stuff makes up for it. Anyway, I bought:

THE CHEAPEST BAG I'VE EVER BOUGHT IN MY LIFE. SERIOUSLY FOLKS, IT WAS 30 PESOS (3 dlls). o_O And it's so cute! It was that cheap because it has a minor printing error and it was the only bag those guys had (they mostly sold rad t-shirts, but those were more expensive and I was out of money).

And a pweeetty iPod bag. Seriously, it looks so cute, even if it's kinda impractical.

Oh, by the way, my brain has been eaten by cat macros. Or more appropiately: OH HI, MINE BRAINZ IS BEING EEATED BY KITTAH MACROS.

So, I watched 28 Weeks Later with teh boyfriend yesterday. It was okay -- I mean, it was good for a gore film, but it lacked Cillian Murphy and Cristopher Eccleston the unknown and suspence elements of the first one. Besides, they really went gore crazy, huh? o_O But it was okay. And I got to snuggle with teh boyfriend, which is a definite plus. XD

My grandma's in the hospital. She's been real sick for almost two years already, mostly because she's too stubborn to actually get healthy again. Well, so much time laying on her bed got her sores, and some sores on her toes turned into gangrene, and now she'll have to have her left leg amputated from the knee down. Oh, and also? She's a diabetic. *sigh* It's just pretty messed up and she's in waiting line for surgery right now. And I've a horrible fear for needles but it seems like I'll have to overcome it because she needs blood and I'm the only one in my family that can donate (my dad had hepatitis as a kid, my mom's a bit underweight and my brother's not of legal age yet). Aaaaargh.

I'll be talking about the sheer awesomecakes that is Avatar: The Last Airbender later, so it won't get infected with this entry's emo.

I'm sorry about your grandma - I hope things go as well as they can. And good luck with donating blood!

Your granma reminds me of quite a few family members, with everything including the diabetes. Sending good thoughts your way on this.

28 wks later. Um, yeah, the flying body parts were quite something.

Thanks, dear. She had the surgery on sunday, and apparently, all went well.

...they really were. Dunno, I'm not that big on gore.
