You know, I've never understood why the BBC likes spoiling people so hard. It's damn near impossible not going spoiled into a new episode because the spoilers were realeased by the Beeb itself months and months ago. Me? I like surprises, and for example, how uttlerly thrilling would have been to SUDDENLY get John Simm as the master, without NO ONE knowing before hand - he made enough heads explode as it is, can you imagine if it'd really been a secret? I'd so like that. Alas, it's not meant to be, I guess.

And talking Who, I had this really weird dream last night about The Spoiler everyone and their mothers already know about. )

Heey, this song just started and I remembered: Does anyone have the covered version by Travis? Pretty please?

Remember that Christmas tree in my school that I mentioned? Well, it's so full of 'letters to Santa' now that you can hardly see the actual tree anymore, lol. I mention this because we all need a bit of happiness in the world, especially in regards of what I'm about to say.

In an incredibly grave note, The murder of Aqsa Parvez by her own father disgusts me. It's just unbelievable, that such a thing can happen in this era. It's not even all about the Islam connections to the story (which are definitely there though), it's more about the complete lack of humanity on the side of that man. Muslim or not, there's just no excuse for such a crime, just like it would still be horryfing if it were a Catholic or Christian or dunno what girl. That's why I'm dreadfuly afraid of religious fanatics, whichever religion that might be.

Aqsa Parvez died for wanting to be free. It is enough to make one loose faith in humanity.

I am also digusted by the Right Wing responses of 'we should make Islam illegal and deport all those freaky bastards right now!'

It is completely unfair and wrong to make assumptions that every muslim condems 'honor killings'. Islam on itself preaches peace, it's the institution that has gong terribly amiss and ignorance what creates all of these crimes. It's just stupid and ignorant to dump the blame on inocent people when the issue at hand is that Aqsa didn't get any help, even when she was already terrified.

It's just like saying that every single Catholic was alright with burning people at the stake during the inquisition, or saying that every single German believed in the Nazi ideology. Generalizations are just wrong, especially now, with the amount of crap decent people have to live with for the sole reason of who they choose to believe in.

Aqsa's father was to blame. Not her religion.
