Yay SPN! I finally got to see Metamorphosis, and it was very, very good. Lots of morally gray, lots of soulfoul confessions with a solid case (I like that mix, it usually doesn't work that well in this show) and the guest acting was quite good as well - the guy had this slight Edward Norton vibe, didn't he? So yes, in all, AWESOME and now I can squee with tonight's ep as the rest of you. :D

Overall it's been a rather fantastic day, especially after yesterday's last minute struggle to finish the muffin Design project. It was, of course, improved greatly by the sinle fact that I got the CUTEST pairs of boots today - they're both lovely and comfortable and have pretty straps all around them and one of them even has a lovely bow and one pair is dark brown and the other is BRIGHT PURPLE, HEEE. I've wanted boots since last fall, since it'll get to cold to be around sockless in the mornings in a while, and as much as I love sneakers there's no way of looking formal with them.

So yes, I'm definitely in a good mood. :3 And a materialistic one, too, but who cares. XD And now I shall go and watch Pushing Daisies and continue to bask in this weird feeling of well-being. (A friend at school lives in this nearby town with a high population of US seniors (I know, lol) and HER cable gets US channels, which means she gets to squee at me about the piemaker before I can get the episode. ARRRGH.)

The Latinamerican version of the VMAs is today, in my own city, and it's so WEIRD, seeing the red carpet on tv and knowing Flavor Flav and other, you know, KNOWN people are there (and in Flav's case making an absolute ass of themselves, lol) and not even that far from home. I wanted to go, if only to stalk famous people, haha, but getting tickets was near impossible soooo tv it is.

Of course, because we're all little music elitistic bitches in my school, no one really wanted to go until Metallica definitely signed up as closing act. LOL. MTV latinamerica is turning 15 years, too. It's gone to the crapper right along with its US mother, but ah, it was good while it lasted. The good old days, when there weren't any horrid reality shows that attempted against human intellect. SIGH.

Anyway, there's a rather awesome music fest on Sunday, and MGMT, The Kooks, Nine Inch Nails, The Flaming Lips, Stone Temple Pilots and, uh, Paramore (but who the hell cares about Paramore?) are playing, which, you know, YAY YAY YAY. It's expensive, but, DUDE, MGMT. I'M SO NOT MISSING THAT. :DDD

It's weird, because the marketing campaign from MTV was all about old people's houses falling to pieces and the city going into chaos (Guadalajara is sort of known for its uber-religious old folk). Today, I saw FIVE traffic accidents, one of which was apparently serious enough to call for an ambulance. COINCIDENCE? Yeah. But also ironic.
