Reptilectric the album: It's pretty good, quite beautiful and fantastically interpreted, and yet, at first listen it all sounds a bit too alike, the songs sort of bleed into each other. But give me a day or two to learn all the songs by heart and listen to it a couple of hundred times and I'll be in love with it. ♥ ♥

There's nothing like listening a cd for the first time. Halfway through the first song now. Boy, they went psychodelic this time around, didn't they?

My laptop is baaaack and seriously improved - for the last, oh, two or three months, it'd been running slower than a fucking snail, and it refused to have sound online, meaning no youtube for me (it's sad how one can miss watching movie trailers and boys kissing in foreign soap operas so much).

So, of course, because I love being pointless, I'm going OHHHH and AHHHH at silly 'how to do simple hairstyles' videos, lol.

I'm listening to Dido's new album, and it's good, although it doesn't reach the dizzingly high levels of awesome of her first album. No Angel, man, that album's so fucking gorgeous.

Which reminds me! New Zoé album on tuesday! ;LAJSDFLJASDF. When Memo Rex (Commander y el corazón atómico de la vía láctea) came out, I sort of STALKED my favorite record shop for DAYS because it just wouldn't arrive! And after a couple of days of pretty much screeching Did it arrive today? Please tell me it arrived todaaaaaay at the people working there they all sort of knew and avoided me, lol. YAY LET'S DO THAT AGAIN, SHALL WE?

OMG OMG OMG NEW ZOÉ SONG ALSDJFLASDJF NEW ZOÉ SONG!!

And they even made Ximena Zariñana's stupid song sound good! SUCH IS THEIR MAGIC.

OH, ZOÉ. I LOVE YOU SO. ♥

Against my expectations, the photo shoot today was AWESOME. I don't know, it was all just really cool - one of our model's sister is a stylist, so the make-up and hair was all amazing and the clothes were all weird/awesome/urban/indie cool and it just felt like a REAL photo shoot, you know? Besides, the house we were in is in the middle or, well, not exactly the prettiest part in town, so we had our models all prettied up against half destroyed houses and abandoned cars and it was EEEH, EXCITING :D :D I also think I'm finally getting the trick of my reflex camera. Woot. I'll have them developed tomorrow, and then scan them and show you guys because EEEH YES COOL. :3

I still haven't watched Who, but I will as soon as I do at least some homework for Video class, as it's getting ridiculous to have absolutely nothing done yet and I feel guilty of not having done any homework (aside from the photo shoot, of course) this weekend when I have tons to do, ugh.

In other news, 281107 continues to be AWESOME BEYOND BELIEF and I'm so, SO glad to have my Zoé love back. :D :D Man, THESE GUYS. THEY OWN ME SO HARD. The songs that sound the best live are:

Mrs. Nitro/Solo/Miel/Peace & Love/Dead/Deja te Conecto/Soñé. SO GORGEOUS. I love that extra bit they added to them, even if Vinyl sounded even prettier (and longer) this last time I saw them live. Mmm.

WELL, I CAVED. And bought myself Zoé's 'new' album, 281107. There are three factors involved in this decision:

1. how incredibly cheap it was.
2. how incredibly pretty the artwork is.
3. how incredibly gorgeous it all sounds. ♥

I still haven't finished listening to, and yet I'm already in love. It's like being there in the audience watching them live again, which, you know, las;jflsjdf. I've always said and always will say that Zoé is one of those bands that can manage to sound even BETTER while live, crappy audience aside.

I had never before in my life bought a concert cd. This is a hint of the AMAZINGNESS of this, lol.

The fact that they've dropped Asteroide, Veneno and Fotosíntesis off their set list is sort of sad, though. And Whatever as well - they opened with that one the first time I saw them, and it was mmmmmm so good.

For their tenth year anniversary, Zoé had a massive concert in Mexico City, and recorded it. This is the first video of it, and by God, but now I HAVE to own that DVD. HAVE TO. I'd never seen such a pretty video from a concert, I swear, which, you know, ALL HAIL RODRIGO GUARDIOLA. Yep, the drummer is the director for most of their videos, haha. XD



It sounds so damn gorgeous, and it brings back so many memories. Mmm, so pretty. What I wouldn't have given to be in there. ♥ (I'm not sure if it was bigger than the gig at last year's Vive Latino - 100 000 people are hard to best, I guess)

I did get to see SPN on Friday (and it was ~awesome~) but I still haven't seen Doctor Who. BUT. It was for a good cause! It was!

Because yesterday was the Coca Cola Zero Fest and it was WONDERFUL. YAY.

The flamenco presentation last night went by actually pretty decently! YAYZ. It's such a relief after the suckiness of the final rehearsal, but it actually came out rather pretty and it was fun and exhilarating and a couple of hundred people got to see my panties. YAYZ?

The bad part: Zoé played in town last night. AAAAAARGH IT SUCKED TO HAVE MISSED THEM. I'd known I wouldn't be able to see them for weeks (since the Travis concert? I think?) but it still hurt because my friends, THE BASTARDS went there instead of seeing me dance. Okay so that's hypocritical of me because I would've done the exact same thing, lol, but STILL. It's the third Zoé gig I've missed in two years. ;____; BUT OH WELL. They come here like, four times a year, haha.

In another note, I think I have mentioned that I suck at this whole airbrush business, haven't I? And if I haven't, WELL, I DO.

Ugh, I've felt rotten ever since I went to bed last night, it seems like that cold I've been avoiding all summer long is finally catching up to me. ;__;

The filling's not that visible now that they're cold... And that's a big strawberry, but still, see what I mean when I say they're really really small? The chocolate glaze wasn't as smooth as I wanted because I was out of corn syrup, but oh well, it's still oh so tasty like that.

I originally made this batch to take to the weekly family reunion, but now that I've tasted them with icing... oh man, they're so so good, and I really want them all for myself. *g*

In other news, I'm green with envy because dixie_pinky got to meet Zoé, omg!
