It's been a rather great couple of days, barring a couple of PMS induced headaches. I've been mainlining BSG and it is so. frakking. great. I'm up to episode 2x12 and the Pegasus arc was made of SHINY ON TOP OF MACHIAVELLIAN MILITARY SHINY. ♥ Oh, this show. Word is on the street it ends next week? Nooooooo.
We went to see The Young Victoria last night, which was lovely and silly and adorable and, well, I love romance period movies AND royalty stories (they might be a useless bunch of inbreds, but they're an interesting useless bunch of inbred folks) so it catered to me a lot. Not a masterpiece, no, but I adored it and the dresses so that's good. Also, the guy playing Prince Albert was absolutely adorable. :3 (And I just looked him up, and, er, maybe the appeal was the moustache and sideburns? He's hot still, but... not adorable. Aw.)
We went to an Irish pub afterwards, and some creepy dude tried to make us go to a karaoke bar with him AND his creepy dude friend tried to pick up a friend by saying she looked like his ex-wife. SMOOTH, DUDE, SMOOTH. Anyway, it was absolutely hilarious and I got sort of drunk and walked into a lot of walls on the way back home, lol. And today I just walked into the city and got myself a book and ingredients to make enchiladas for a Mexican-themed party a friend's throwing on Monday (she's Chilean, why did she want a Mexican party I've no idea) and a mini-blender to make said enchiladas. Yay shopping! And the sky is all blue and it's SUNNY, omg, actually sunny, it's lovely, and I never thought I'd actually call a sunny day lovely. (but then again, the sun doesn't BURRRRN in here like it does back home, so.)
