I wonder how yellow cheddar became the supposed 'staple' of Mexican cuisine. It's especially weird because I find it near impossible to find it here - I like white cheddar, but the yellow kind sort of scares me. it's so --bright. No cheese should look like that. o_o

People should use more oaxaca cheese. Mmm, oaxaca cheese.

I have a bit of a craving for Japanese curry. Mmm, Japanese curry. So hard to find in restaurants, SIGH.

I've been craving FOOD as a whole a lot as of lately, actually. I don't know, I'm weird. Anyway, today I made The Pioneer Woman's Pasta with Tomato Cream Sauce recipe, and it was SO NICE and yummy and SOOO easy. Yayz. I really love that website, actually, it makes me drool with hunger just from scrolling.

An aunt from Tijuana is in town, the only one that stayed for longer after my grandparent's party, and since she was also born in Colima, the city my mom's mom's part of the family all come from, my mom made her famous Sopitos - a most delicious and strangely hard to find dish. It's surprising it's pretty much unknown outside the state, being so good. Last time I was in Manzanillo, we went twice to the same cenadurĂa to eat them again, lol. Picture and recipe here, in Spanish, pretty much certified by the fact that this blogger eats them in the same cenadurĂa I go to while in Colima! It's so random though, I've been following that blog for ages and now it turns out we eat in the same places! hee.
