When you see this post, quote from Doctor Who (classic or new series) on your LJ
"The turn of the Earth. The ground beneath our feet is spinning at a thousand miles an hour, and the entire planet is hurtling round the Sun at 67,000 miles an hour, and I can feel it. We're falling through space, you and me, clinging to the skin of this tiny little world, and if we let go..."
-The Ninth Doctor.
I may like Ten better, but that line sold me on Doctor Who forever.
I'm so excited about the finale, but I'm going out with some friends today, so I probably won't get to download it until midnight, or something. o_O *bites nails* ANYWAY, SAXON YAY! (I just rememeber, I didn't write anything about last week's ep, did I? I LOVED IT LOTS, YES. ESPECIALLY THE PHONESEX.)
Anyway, I read Batgirl: Year One yesterday, and it left me all warm and tingly inside. I've always liked Barbara, she's one of the most endearing girls in the DC universe, but it wasn't until I read this that I fell in love with her. This is a retold of her introduction, told in such a loving way - you can tell the author respects the character for what she is, a smart, strong, independant woman that just refuses to give up. The foreshadowing was brilliant, too, and the art is just incredible! It has a lovely retro look that reminds me a lot of the 40s, all clean, soft lines. Now I really have to read the Robin one in this series...
