well, I just told myself I was being silly and re-read the epilogue as well and really, it's not that bad. It honestly made me smile this time around. Sure, it's silly, and uninformative, and cheesy as hell, but it's kinda up-lifting, and Ron's kinda AWESOME in it. But I ♥ me some Ron, so.

But really, it's only horrible when you read it just as you finish with the last chapter, on its own and after a while it doesn't sound like such heressy. And I'll never forget how lol-tastic is that Malfoy's hairline is receding, haha *g*

Albus Severus, though, is still an awful, awful name which is bound to get him mocked all his life (though not as much as Scorpius, lol) and come on, Snape doesn't deserve to have someone's kids named after him. He was a pretty interesting man, but he was still a GIT and a PRAT and an awful, awful man.

I recently read a few sentences of an essay from someone who was clearly not pleased with certain things in Deathly Hallows, including the epilogue, and they said something along the lines of, "is it necessary to point out that Malfoy is losing his hair". To which I say YES, because it's just funny. And I do like Malfoy.
Also, I don't really get how Snape can be the bravest man Harry ever knew. Sure, he had a lot of qualities, and what he did out of love for Lily is certainly admirable, but THE bravest? Granted, Voldemort killed him just to get control over that stupid wand, so he didn't really get to prove his "heroism" in a spectacular way. Still, I thought it was a nice (but kind of awkward) touch that Harry named his son Severus, if only to show that Severus' good deeds did not go unnoticed.

Um, Draco's hair does not recede.

No, no, no. Just, no.

While I still dislike Snape on a personal level, I have to say he *was* the bravest man in the entire series.

I mean, really, let's take a look at him - he's double-crossed the jerk of the series and *then went back*. Afterwards, he had to do pretty despicable things, such as murder, torture, rape, plunder, orgies, and whatever DEs do, else. Additionally, he killed his mentor/best friend/only person who knew what he was up to, essentially removing any chance of being something other than a villain in his lifetime.

Still, he's Slytherin and he's a git. That doesn't change.

Oh, another thing: The "only-chaotic-evil" characterization of Slytherins. I mean, please, just one or two betting on the guy who up until now survived *anything* Tom threw at him...
