Oh, I saw this wonderful movie yesterday! Tadpole, the story of a 15-year-old boy in love with his 40-year-old step-mother was much more than I thought it'd be, and once again, I was reminded why I like Aaron Stanford so much as an actor. I seriously laughed so much, and was pleasently surprised at how good the writing was. The characters were pretty engaging, too - the weight of the movie fall on Oscar's shoulders, and he doesn't disappoint as an interesting, complex character that has the perfect mix of adolescent yearning to impress and a mature mindset. Visually, no, the quality isn't that good, but the script and the acting really make up for it, and I was seriously impressed with it. The music and the Voltaire quotes really add to it, and honestly, it closes with David Bowie's Changes - how can that go wrong?

Also, it reminded me why I like seeing actors performing completely different roles - there's not a speck of Oscar in Pyro, just like Pyro is a completely different person than Will Traveler. I just love that, seeing actors build people from scratch.

Ah, well, that felt so very nice after weeks of not seeing a decent movie.

Anyway, I'm still somewhat sick and my head feels as if it was filled with cotton, ugh. It did give me an excuse to not go out with some friends, though, which is good because I'm suspicious of their motivs and I wouldn't put it pass them to invite my ex and don't tell me about it so we could 'patch things up'. Which would be awful. *shakes head*

I haven't watched that one. Have you watched the show "Traveler"?

Yep, I'm liking it loads. I haven't finished it, because I got lazy downloading it and ended up just watching it in warner channel, lol, but I'm still all hyped up about it XD

There was a petition, wasn't there? (silly me, of course there was - there's always a petition somewhere.) That's about the time I went '...ooookay' and backed away slowly from the fans because it felt like it was The Black Donnellys all over again with people crying everywhere. o_O

I think it's episode 6 tomorrow night. Probably. *scratches head*

Yup, there was. I signed both of them. Haha. I never watched The Black Donnellys, but I hear that the fist episode was AMAZING, while the rest were blah blah.

I don't think Traveler went like that. I was very much OMGWTF until the very end. Plus, Tyler and Jay are soooo pretty. hahaha. I like them muchly.

Oh, yes, TBD's pilot was one of the best hours of television I've ever seen (like, no joke, you should check it out, it works fairly okay as a stand-alone), and then the series was so laaaaaaame that I couldn't go past the third episode, ugh.

Mmm, pretty indeed. Tyler looks a bit like Gale Harold from Queer as Folk and everytime I see him I go 'OMG!' XD I dunno, as long as it has a solid ending, it doesn't bother me if it's only mini-series length.

It does? I'll try to find it then. I'd like to watch it.

Ohhh. I hadn't thought of Tyler as Gale. Mmmm. IDK. Haha. jay looks like Robbie Williams sometimes and I HATE RW, but I like Jay A LOT so. :p
