God, I just had a conversation with my brother about The Hills and how we think Spencer's an asshole and Heidi's an idiot and apparently he has A Thing for Audrina but I can't stand the sight of her and OMG WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME. (In my defense, I could never stomach Laguna Beach. He, on the other hand, watched the three seasons. o_O)

Oh man, I missed Britney at the VMA's, didn't I? And I was so looking forward to have a laugh. ;___;

Anyway, it's been a pretty good weekend, I went to the cinema twice, yayz :3

Well, I finally got to see Stardust and my, but it was wonderful. Let's get the only bad thing out first, shall I? IT WAS IN SPANISH. NO ONE TOLD ME IT'D BE IN SPANISH. I HATE HATE HATE DUBBED MOVIES. So yeah. It was so good that I stopped focusing in my hatred for dubbing pretty soon, though, and I guess I now have an excuse to go see it again XD

Anyway, I loved it. I caught on to this fact when I caught myself grinning ideotically through every. single. scene. in the movie, lol. The Tristan/Yvaine relationship was really well treated, and they had so much chemistry and spark; Lamia was wicked and Captain Shakespeare made me laugh insanely. Also, the photography was real pretty, even if the music was a bit repetitive. I'm also really okay with the changes they made from the book - the only thing that rings untrue is that 'one week' deadline, but everything else? Really well made, and anyway, the book's ending was always somewhat plain, and it just made sense for the producers to spice it up for the silver screen. I didn't think it'd be that funny, though! That was a nice surprise, 'cause I honestly laughed and laughed at both the Captain's (hilarious) and princes' storylines. :) In short, I loved it to bits and so did everyone else in the theatre, it seemed.

And today I went to see The Bourne Ultimatum and, of course, it rocked my socks off. BUT. Y'ALL FAIL. WHY DID NO ONE TOLD ME DANIEL BRÜHL WAS IN IT? (ALL THREE MINUTES OF IT, WHATEVS.) In any case, it was much better than the second one and pretty on par with the first one, I'd say. I liked the development on Julia Stiles character, if I gotta be honest, and as always, Jason Bourne is souch an easy character to empathyze with, which is difficult considering who he is. Anyway, me ♥ spy stories, so of course I dig these movies. I still missed Franka Potente's character, though, she was cool. ;__; I'm considering reading the books. Has anyone read them?

I also finished watching Goong and oh, my heart. It was crushed so many times during the series. ;___; I loved it so much and its lovely characters and I never ever wanted it to end. I liked the ending, even if it was a bit like '...wha?', haha, but I'm happy. I just want the sequel to actually happen like, right now, because Goong S sounds all kinds of lame and I want my fix of fake, hot royals, damnit. I think I'll watch Coffee Prince next, because Yoon Eun Hye is so so cute and I've heard nothing but praise of it.

Also, I didn't go to a party celebration in a bar last night because I was cooking. *headdesk*

I'm skipping your review of Stardust, just 'cause I haven't seen it yet! But, yes, The Bourne Ultimatum was fantastic! Like you said, the development of Julia Stiles' character was great, but in addition to that, I loved how she wasn't brought on as a love interest. The books were pretty good ... nothing like the movies, though. The Bourne Identity is one of my favourite books, but for some reason, I found the Supremacy and Ultimatum books really difficult to get through. I found that there were too many characters popping up, and too much stuff happening to process. But yes, I'd definitely suggest reading the first one!

Hee, I understand your pain, I was sooo tempted to click in reviews for Stardust before I saw it.

Yeah, I liked the parallels between hers and Franka Potente's character in the first movie (the bathroom scenes, to be exactly), but it was refreshing to not have a stale romance shoved down our throats in every single movie. I've already downloaded them! (because I'm cheap and have no idea where to get them in here, lol) I'll start on them in some days. :)

Stardust = SO GOOD SO GOOD SO GOOD. I think it was one of the few movies I've seen that's better than the book, and it was a pretty damn good book!

I loved Captain Shakespeare. I loved Tristan/Yvaine. I loved the princes. I loved the pretty pretty cinematography. That, for me, is what fantasy is all about.

I know! The fact that Neil Gaiman himself was a producer helped loads, I assume. It was just -- it really was magical. :)

I always loved the Princes' storyline so I'm glad that was in there and that it was hilarious and also that they cast Rupert Everett as a Prince. I'm glad you enjoyed the movie, I too couldn't stop smiling during the whole thing.

You know, I was so excited about seeing Daniel Bruhl in the Bourne Ultimatum and I thought that he'd be a big part, and I was so happy only to realize he was there for 5 secs. But hey, it's something, right? I didn't have anyone to squee with, since the people I went with had no clue who Daniel is, fools. Haha.

I soooo didn't notice it was Rupert Everett until I saw it in IMDB. o_O I'm so lame. But yeah, the princes totally rocked the scene, and now I want to see it again so badly!

Haha, I know, I went all 'OMG IT'S DANIEL BRÜHL, A;SLJDLJ;LAJSD' and my parents went '...who?' lol. It's really weird that went all the way to get him to appear in the movie and then completely forget about him. He should've at least have more screen time. ;__; But other than that it was pretty wicked, so oh well.

I actually wanted to reread the book, even though it wasn't my favorite. I do want to watch it again, I loved what they did with Captain Shakespeare, it was every entertaining.

I wonder is he still not well known? I feel like he should be since he's such an amazing actor, but I feel like people still have no idea who Daniel Bruhl is. I wonder. But maybe if more people know of him, he'll be offered crap roles, which won't be fun.

I just re-read it a while ago, because I hadn't finished the illustrated version for some reason (have you read that one? Because Charles Vess' artwork is just astounding, and it really adds to the story), but yeah, it isn't my favorite book by Neil either.

True dat. But I just like him so much I babble about him to pretty much everyone that stands still enough to hear me, lol. Wasn't he in this odd horror movie a while ago? Cargo, was it called? I was so confused at the idea of our precious Daniel in a horror movie. o_O

No, I haven't read it. I suppose I have to buy it because none of the libraries around me have them, their either checked out or in transit.

I've never heard of that movie, but that's never a good thing when good actors try their hand at horror films. What a waste!
