I seem to have acquired a new car today? Maybe? I DON'T KNOW.
It was like this: My parents went out this morning while I was baking cupcakes and doing my Methodology of Design homework and when they came back they kinda just said 'OH HI, WE'RE SORT OF SELLING YOUR CAR AND BUYING THE ONE PARKED OUTSIDE, KTHNXBYE.' And I went: '...what?'
So. Yeah, I'll probably be driving it by Friday, or something. No, I don't get my parents either. (we're building a house right now. Why on earth they decided this was a good time to buy a car is anybody's guess.) If it wasn't because my car has been breaking down on me somewhat constantly for the last month (or more), I wouldn't even consider it. As it is, I'm still not all that happy about it, because I LIKE my shitty, small as fuck red chevy, DAMNIT. Granted, the new car (it's a chevrolete corsa, btw) is somewhat pretty and still pretty small, and THANK GOODNESS still manual (I don't like automatic cars), but it still goes too smoothly, too easily, it's got hidraulic transmission and I'm used to struggling against the wheel.
Why yes, my parents don't get why I want to keep my old car either. *headdesk* I'm just not good with change, I guess. *shrug*
SO. SPN on Thursday, right? I really wish I could say I'm excited about it. It's just - the season finale was too rounded, you know? Last year, I was shaking in my seat for months to know what had happened after the car crash. This year? I'm pretty meh about it. The fact that I initially started cheating on the Doctor Who fandom with SPN and now it's all gotten reversed is not lost on me, no.

I was running low on the Supernatural glee too, during the summer. Partly it was the finale, partly because of the wanky stuff in fandom, and also because well, I'm a magpie when it comes to fandoms. I need new, shiny stuff and my attention will waver and rarely holds longer than a year if I'm lucky for a fandom. Aha, and this fact made it a little hard to run a SPN challenge and try to write fic for it at the same time, but I think I covered nicely. ;)
But then I got my DVDs and start re-watching the show with my cousins, (best way to view it is with other fangirls!) and I've started reading more fic, and writing and participating stuff like
But I really enjoyed my sidetrips into Who and Heroes and Black Donnellys during the summer, and it was nice not to be all SPN, all the time. And also, quite frankly, to take a break from fandom.
Um, heh, okay, the above makes me sound like I'm trying to re-recruit you, which isn't what I intend to do when I started writing this comment (honest). More like, I get where you're coming from, and I guess I feel like rambling tonight. ;)
I dunno, it seems that fannish glee tends to come in spurts and cycles, in my opinion, which is why I think it's better to be poly-fannish (or, at least cheating on your main fandom with a couple others ;) because then you can always come back to your main one with a fresh feeling of *GLEE!*
I think it's cool that you're starting to get back into Doctor Who, and I'm really enjoying reading your posts on it., even if I have nothing useful to add most of the time.
And if you do decide to cheat again with SPN, well, we'll be here with our pretty boys and angst, and vaguely apocalyptic future. :D

Also: Had to share with you. I won a Doctor Who vidder in Sweet Charity and I'm planning on asking for a non-shippery vid where it shows the Doctor leaving *all* his companions/people. I want to watch something other than Doctor/Rose vids of unrequited love and cracky Doctor/Master vids. Seriously, where are the gen vids in this fandom??

Ah, Who. My dirty mistress, hehe. I'm having so much fun with it right now (as I have since the last couple of episodes aired - I'm surprised at how long I've been squeeful about it this time around...)
Mmm, vaguely apocalyptic future. Sounds tasty *g*
Haha, I'm not that much of a fan of vids, but THAT ONE I do want to see, lol. If only because it'd agravate the batshit Rosefen, lol. XD
