I'm being a good girl and not clicking on any of the spoilery links over at
who_daily, although I really really want to. *bites nails*
I've started re-reading A Hundred Years of Solitude and well, it seems like I became used to the soft yet real atmosphere of Love in the times of cholera and it's lovable yet well-constructed characters, because for the life of me I didn't remember how fucked up and disturbing every single character is in this one. Huh. It's still one of my favorite novels ever, though. ♥
The other day, one of my flamenco classmates told me Quino was dead. I immediatly went 'OMG WHAT???' because I really thought I'd, you know, hear about it (what with the man being a demi-god in the comic strip business in Latin America and Europe), and I'm ashamed to say I had to look it up even though I never really believed it. STILL. It was such a fright. o_O QUINO, DON'T YOU DARE EVER LEAVE US WITHOUT YOUR GENIOUS.
Oh, yeah, I've also been dreaming about Doctor Who for the last four days in a row. Um. Sometimes I'm the Doctor (both Ten and Seven) and sometimes I'm just a regular gal (with a family of my own, how incredibly scary!) in the Who universe (i.e. lots of time traveling and alternate realities) and Martha and Rose have both featured and it's somewhat cool because dreamscapes are just such a good background for Who, it just mixes rather well. Er. This might be my unconscious' way of saying I should lay off thecrack Who? Um.
