Are all avatars that cute and awkward?

Oh, Avatar was really really good this week! Finally, something that isn't filling! Granted, they were fun filling episodes, but nothing beats some good old fashioned intrigue and bending story. :)

ALSO. THAT WAS THE SLASHIEST EPISODE OF AVATAR I'VE SEEN IN MY LIFE. *cough*

ANYWAY. I have a costume party tonight! I'm going as little red riding hood, lol. I'll try and post pics tomorrow and now I gotta be off because I want to curl my hair. *g*

And again, such filler. Sorry, but we're in Ep 6, and we've only got 20, and maybe the *story could get going?*

Important things from this ep? Zuko's destiny. That was it. Everything else was just fluffy fillers. And not even *Tokka* fluffy fillers.

Avatar's starting to get me down.

Do you honestly consider this one a filler? o_O I think it's basic to the plot - knowing where it all begun, to figure out how to end the war. It's crucial. And very, very different than the 'YAY AZULA IS AWKWARD AROUND BOYS!' kind of filler. *shrug*

No, I don't quite think so - yes, it's important, but not in that length. We've lost an entire episode for what? What was the crucial character development or story development here? That Roku and Sozin were friends? Well, that could have been handled in a much shorter way. Same goes for the revelations re: Zuko.

I admit, the ep was damn cool - Roku bending all four elements. But *most* of it were things that I say, yay, if we didn't have that much filler already...

Admittedly, I liked the beach - but that was filler, too. The story, right now, is for Aang to end the war. How? That's still out to the judges. But in the last six episodes, what has been done towards that effort? Really done?

*sigh* Maybe I'm just grumpy 'cause of my personal life, but..
(And yes, professional life is going good, thanks; I need to post again, one day or the other.)
