I liked the part about the starfish, too. I still remember being a little kid and there were a couple of times I came off with something to a relative and a stranger, and my mother had this look of horror like she wanted to drop through the floor and disappear ...

There are so many loopholes in the curse - for all we know, Will could walk around on land with buckets strapped to his feet! - that it'd be just silly not to take advantage of them.

And hee, I really like the mental image of Barbossa trying to shake a toddler off his boot XD
