I wanted to buy a tamal to take for lunch tomorrow at school but the dude that sells them across the street didn't show up today. ;___;

Anyway, I HAS A TICKET FOR THE TRAVIS GIG, YAYZ. Truth to be told, though, I'm not the biggest Travis fan ever, and I only have their latest cd and assorted hype-ish songs. So, wise flist, which album of theirs should I download and listen obsessively to get ready for the concert? WHICH IS ON THURSDAY, BY THE WAY. YAYZ.

Mmm, what else... I kinda laughed A LOT at funny yet unappropiate stuff today, lol. And people stared. lol lol.

ETA: Oh yeah, about the WGA strike: I'm sympathetic towards the writers, but damn, do I wish it won't last long. I'll miss my shows too damn much. ;__; (And by my shows I totally mean Pushing Daisies because SPN hasn't managed to grasp my attention this season and Heroes has been made of MEH and stupid characters. *shrug*

Also, this blog, don't remember which, was talking about the affected shows and topped it all with something like 'Doctor Who and Torchwood won't be affected because writers in the UK don't fall under the WGA' and I could just think along the lines of: "WELL, DUH." Stupidity. The gift that keeps on giving. *eyeroll*

Im jealous. Travis are so great live! My favourite album is "12 memories" but you need to check out The Man Who and The Invisible Band, too. Ehh....

Eeek, I'm so exctited! I ended up downloading 12 Memories and The Invisible Band - they're so good! Sometimes a bit too slow for my usual tastes, but I'm still loving it. :)

Yes, they can be really mellow, siding to cheesy but overall Travis are really lovely. They got a different side though. I'm not sure they'll play any of those songs but they got a lot of silly ones, as well. Also on their first album they sound rather different, like "All I wanna do is rock". What I liked most about the concert was the way they interacted with the crowd. They're just incredibly nice and ended up rhyming in German ^^ (well, probably because Fran can speak it a bit, because of his wife). Really, I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

Bajate el "Singles", que es básicamente lo que cantan en los conciertos. De "The Man Who" sólo cantan dos o tres canciones, pero para mi es su mejor disco.

Sadly there probably are people who need to be reminded that there are, in fact, countries that are Not the USA on a regular basis, and would not have worked this out for themselves.

God, tell me about it. Some people are so incredibly self-centered. *sigh*

(And don't even get me started on the assholes that think the US is the only civilized country in the world. "What, you mean you don't wear sandals and sombreros daily?!" is a question I get far too often. ;__;)

Maybe because productions in Canada are being affected that people get confused about the UK? They probably have no idea how the BBC works.
