Whenever people mention 'sweet potatoes' I go: 'Huh, that sure sounds interesting. Maybe I should try it. Is it really like, potatoes... only sweet? Oh my.'
And then I remember that stuff is only a camote and then I think: '... ew. Camotes.'
FOREIGN LANGUAGES: GLOMOURIZING HORRIBLE VEGETABLES SINCE 1521.
Also, I'm twenty years old. *criez*
Real post tomorrow once I'm not so dizzy with red wine.

And, ergh, sweet potatoes. They are the BANE of my life. Because they seem like they are nice but then I start adding salt and more salt until I realise that I'm just trying to turn them into normal potatoes. :/

eggplant
And it's also hard to remember "sea urchin." Because in my language they're literally "pig hair" or, I guess, more appropriately, "boar bristles." And I keep on wanting to translate it literally into English X-D What does an urchin look like anyway?
Re: eggplant
Lol, that's a strange name. It's the same in Spanish, so I don't get confused, but for some reason I always find the word 'urchin' really funny. Hee.
Re: eggplant
My cousin stepped on them once when swimming in shallow water. Ouch. Turns out instead of plucking the spindles out you HAMMER them in O_o I forgot what the explanation was, but this guy was hitting the spindles on my cousin's heel with a glass bottle.
