Okay, so was this week's epsisode of Pushing Daisies AWESOME or was it SUPER AWESOME, EH?
Pushing Daisies 1x08 - Bittersweet: I do believe this has been one of my favorite episodes so far. It was just so... good, dunno how to explain it. IT WAS LIKE CSI. ONLY WITH DEATH BY CANDY, ALSDFJASLDKFJJ. OH GOD, NED. SO AWKWARD. SO WONDERFUL. (the way he blew his hair out of his face? OMG LOVE.)
The colors this week, oh! I've always loved the brown/cyan/orange/pink color scheeme and it was such a lively and fitting palette for this episode. Competitve candy seller who used to appear in SNL! Wonderful, wonderful performance. I was so so convinced she'd done it, and it was nice to be proven otherwise. AND DUDE, HER TAKING REVENGE? AWESOME. CREEPILY AWESOME. Also. HOMAGE TO THE BIRDS FOR THE FUCKING WIN.
Chuck and Olive, fighting for their boy! I do love the way the show's stressing on their friendship, and how no one's degrading Olive's love for Ned - it's taken as somewhat of a circumstancial theme, something that just is, and I have the feeling I'm going to love Olive/Salesman (who I totally CALLED would be back, by the way).
"An attractive man who makes pies for a living shouldn't even spend a short amount of time in prison," EMERSON I ♥ YOU I REALLY REALLY DO.
Olive and Digby visiting Ned at prison! God, but I laughed so so incredibly much this episode XDDD
AND OH GOD THE ENDING. AL;SJDFLASDJF. This show is getting darker as it gets cuter, even if it sounds weird, and baby, but I'm loving it.
If the strike isn't resolved, this show will probably be the only one I'll really miss. ;____;

ugh, i talk... er, type too much :\
and i really do like the way they've handled the whole Chuck/Ned/Olive love triangle, too! Chuck and Olive as BFFs makes me unreasonably happy, and the awkwardness it causes Ned kills me in the face with joy. and, dude, Alfredo the Salesman needs to not go on his trip or something because i think i'd dig him/Olive as well.
EMERSON, FTW XD!!! he has supremely awesome lines. they all do, really. but that one was just great.
not because it made me picture Ned trying not to drop the soap in the prison showers, no.basically, WORD. to everything you said. i love that he just blurted out the 'i killed yo daddy' at the end like that and the fucking strike better end tonight so they can feverishly write scripts all day tomorrow and then begin filming first thing Monday. because this is the only show that has yet to produce an even so-so episode for me.
oh, pan out as long as you want, squeeing makes me happy
It IS working rather nicely, isn't it? I went all 'Aww, Ned and his girls' when they gave him that pie with the candle at the end, it was so sweet. Part of the awesome part of it is that while Olive is jealous, she doesn't take it out on Chuck, and that Chuck isn't jealous in the least - she's certain of hers and Neds situation. Ned is another story, but the jealousy is just adorkable on him, lol. Also, CHUCK AND OLIVE AS BFFs AND JUSTICE FIGHTERS FOREVER AND EVER, OMG.
Lol and who does Ned gets to bunk with? THE CRAZY DUDE THAT IS IN LOVE WITH A DOLL. HEE.
I bet there were all kinds of bets to see who would get Ned as his bitch, lol.And the paning out into the snowy city after the confession! The entire moment just made me go AÑLSDFJLÑSDJFLKSFÑLJ. PLEASE STRIKE, END TODAY, I NEEDS MY FIX. And a 9 episode long season is just CRIMINAL. ;____;
well, if you insist! *g*
hee Ned and his harem. XD yeah, i really think it's awesome that they didn't go the obvious route with Olive trying to sabotage Chuck and Ned. it would cheapen the whole love triangle plot if it was just like on every other show. it's so much more interesting this way! LOL THE PIE HOS ARE TOTES PLATONIC OTP!
lshdgas the Real Doll guy!! i cracked up that he was Ned's cell mate. XD
there were probably even a few fights over Ned. hell, i know i'd want him as my bitch.YES. the lead up to the confession, the way he delivered the line, Chuck's expression, the pan-out, ALL OF IT. it was made of win and i was SO pissed off when i realized that the season will likely be over after the next episode. 9 EPISODES IS CRIMINAL, YOU'RE RIGHT. D:
Like, a million years late, but oh well.
You're right - it's only interesting because it's such a unique situation, that the gals are willing to somewhat share Ned. And that Ned isn't planning on taking advantage, either.
Dude, totally. He was worth more than cigarettes for the entire time he was there, even.ME WANTS MORE EPISODES, YES.

yeah, I thought she had done it...but yes revenge
HOMAGE TO THE BIRDS FOR THE FUCKING WIN

"An attractive man who makes pies for a living shouldn't even spend a short amount of time in prison,"
ohmygosh I just realized what that meant. -headdesk-
My brother was doing homework next to me and he got sucked into watching the episode. yay! I wonder if he'll continue...I shouldn't push it too hard...and this lunch I told another friend about it and she's like I NEED TO SEE THAT SHOW.
